I am also not very sure what your idea of diplomacy is Crafty. After reading the messages posted by King you sent to him, you don't sound very diplomatic. I don't think you would take kindly to anyone speaking to you in the manner you did King. I think you owe the man an apology.

Not that you would be concerned, but I've reconciled with SC and will continue to play both games. As for me being boring, you have no idea who I am. You might have some general thoughts thrown together after reading the daily chat-log before bedtime, but please don't consider yourself to 'know' my personality. As you all might already know, I still think NLUO will fail, and that these threads should belong in the LU section. A recent post in the WG section got considerable attention, so there's no reason why these NLUO-related topics can't be started in the LU section from now on. The only reason why Wendy/Hezze are starting them here is for attention.

the initial statement of destroying the NLUO, was a declaration of war. i'd like to return to the peace treaty, that i'd leave hez alone, which i will point out, i did not break

i'm not interested in a protracted war, that will never end. i am how ever prepared to defend myself.

this entire event, has proven to me, their is life in this game. people just want to have something to do. other than complain about the rule changes.

this is what i offer. i will recruit and prepare players to resist any aggressive efforts of the NLUO. if the NLUO is a peaceful organization. then their will be no problems.

personally, i like my countries, and i'd like to put them back to the way they were. i want peace.

and in the interest of my peace. i'm inviting all presidents to work together with me, in the Hydra federation, for mutual safety. we do not care if you choose not join, but we will encourage all presidents.

and we will do all we can, that hydra members remain unharassed by the NLUO, or any other organization.

this is my offer of peace to the NLUO

As hostilities between the Non-Aligned Nations and NLUO begin to wind down, the NLUO would like to get back to growing, filling the government, and creating a stimulating game experience for new and experienced presidents.

Wendy, the legislation of NLUO was openly published by the NLUO, not me. That was how Hezzy said they would work, not me.

So members have no responsibility to this legislation? OK, fine, but who does? Do you? Does even hezzy? What is the legislation for if no one has to abide by it.

For someone of your awareness of current affairs I am surprised you havent heard of the new culture of transparency. ALL honest organisations now 'sort things out' in public, it's a matter of trust, hide things and people wont trust you. Lie once, people wont like it, lie twice and you've lost it.

And lastly, yes NLUO has stated that it will intervene in non members affairs if the vote called for it, but no vote that anyone can see happening means that NLUO will intervene in non members affairs if Hez or yourself desires it, I presume.

So there you go, I was trying to be reasonable, opening some sort of logical debate so we can see eye to eye but you aren't being open or honest with me...what can I say. The NLUO never instigated any aggression towards anyone, ever. We are not keeping the peace with anyone, because the NLUO has never shown aggression to ANYONE.

There is no way to try an characterize your pathetic attempt to belittle King and/or the NLUO when your questions are rhetorical and only aim to cause confusion, spread lies, and misrepresent the truth. It is pointless.

You speak of an lot of if's, and's, and but's, the only thing anyone on Little Upsilon need be concerned with is the behavior of you, Josias and to a lesser extent Mizore for trying to start an experienced fed to go to war with a hypothetical organization headed by a player much less experienced, knowledgeable and resourceful as yourselves.

Now here are the powers and responsibilities of the Secretary of State:

Secratary of State: They focus on the foreign & war policies of the NLUO, and run the wars of the NLUO. They are the representatives of the NLUO World Government in diplomacy. The secretary of state is the head of the federations. When there is a resolution of war passed in the LU Security Council, the secretary of state regulates the federations, which the Join t chiefs of staff of the chairmen of the federations voted to be chosen to go to war. The Secretary of state set up battle plans for the federations chosen, and enforced the Security council resolution. He or she is elected for up to 2 terms; which are 40 LU Years each term. The secretary of State also appoints the Joint Chiefs of staff, and they are confirmed Secretary General. All policies must be apporved by the Secretary General.

So this is why Secretary Wendy is speaking for the NLUO Crafty.

Really what you should do is join the NLUO Crafty, and then you can know all the inner workings and maybe event gain power to make a difference.

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate thread for me to post what I would like to say, but here goes.

I involved myself in this issue, because as a player, I was concerned by the "terminology" that Hezzy was using, which put forth that the NLUO was the governing body of the entire LU world. I still take issue with this, but nevertheless, perhaps it is just a case of semantics. But in my opinion, it was terminology like this that would fuel the passions of players who like to "govern" themselves.

Other than that, I think Hezzy's concept is good. I like the banding of players to work and play the game together. It is always what I enjoyed.

In another important matter, I butted into a chat conversation between Wendyloo and Crafty today, that perhaps I should have stayed out of, even though I didn't agree with something. For this, I would like to issue an apology to Wendy and to Crafty. I tend to be a little too outspoken sometimes for my own good, but I assure you I do mean well.

I have decided to stop being so vocal on issues unless they specifically involve me in this game.

Anyways, for what it is worth, I do apologize, more so to Wendy, for I hate that I may have offended her. I have always held the utmost respect for her in the game and as a friend. I equally hold Crafty with the same respect.

I don't understand why Hez is running the gov is he is new to the game. There is no intent to belittle anyone with this comment, but allowing someone who hasn't proved stability or rationality seems to have potentially disastrous outcomes.

Hez played before... he was just as much an asshole and bigot as he is now.

I think the Madam Secretary Sweetpea is doing a very good job in her new post. Not to mention she is an Isolationist, which makes sense as to why she makes sense. It is these Expansionist War beasts who cause us to almost go into a world war.

Well, Crafty knows what he is trying to do when questioning Hezekiah, and making it a session of ridicule, disguised as genuine interest or concern. That I don't like, nor agree with.

It has been my very nature to speak up for those being handled the wrong way by a stronger opposition that should have used some restraint in the first place. I don't wish to go in circles with you Crafty, I am just doing what I see you doing to Hezekiah. You know ask a question where there will be no right answer. That type of stuff is really dumb.

King Hezekiah is a valued member. He was ganged on and left the game 3 years ago. I too had a hand in it. It was a mistake I will not see repeated, and I am absolutely stunned at how many of our veteran community have jumped on a band-wagon to do it again.

That kind of behavior isn't going to promote the game, or help it grow. New joins read this, and despite the spins on every side of the issue, many are smart enough to read through it and see this is just a witch hunt by experienced players. In this case, it seems to be the guy that is newer. We as veterans have stagnated the game. King is breathing new life into this place. If anybody could appreciate that it should be us, the vets, who have stayed in this game despite some things.

I chose to participate in the NLUO because the rest of the game is doing absolutely nothing. I can clickety-clack all day long, but the reason I log in is to interact with players. If we don't help foster that kind of welcome atmosphere, we will tire of only seeing each other and we get nowhere fast.

I've spoken too much. Scarlet, you need a timeout. Why the hostility? There is no reason to take things to that level. I don't want to see you banned, but I have been banned for far less than that and it amazes me how some of you continually get away with that. I would like to see some standard established. So at least it doesn't seem like some are singled out. But bans are not needed here. Common sense should prevail.

The NLUO will continue on. Many will join, more will not. In the end though, there is not a single thing about this organization that warrants any player attacking Hezekiah relentlessly on a regular basis.

Why the hostility? Maybe you should explain to your Hezekiah why someone might take issue with a player creating a disgusting persona in which they establish an authoritarian organization, define themselves as an expansionship, claim to be working for the betterment of the game, and make anti-semitic remarks. This is a joke, and one I don't find amusing.

Really, the better question is what kind of person would choose to create such a persona?

You want to roleplay, whatever. There will be no "peace in our time".
