I just want to bring to light that I think it is terrible that game vets continuously pick on the new players in this game. And in this reference I will name the players - Chiwoo and Wendy (Entrepreneur/LazyEye). It cannot be an issue of wanting a good challenging fight, because the newer players will never have a fighting chance against those who have 7 years plus of weapons stored, if constantly harrassed and decced.

All I see is the newer players eventually getting frustrated, pulling their money from the game and just quitting. Perhaps that is the aim of the vets to keep complete domination of the game?????? I would think they would want to grow it and get it back to its heyday of a few years back when lots more were actively playing and being vocal. They need to remember they were once new players themselves.

All I can say is the veteran players should pick on people their own size in the game. Now, I will say that yes, this is a war game, but I just don't see the point here. I can attribute it to one thing only........game bullying.

If this is about me as a player and an attempt to destroy BME because of some stupid personal vendetta a certain player has, as I have been informed by a former mate of mine, then I am the one you need to attack, and not the innocent players in this game. I can sum this all up as PATHETIC and DESPERATE. I would never stoop so low.

I am asking players from ALL the federations (Hydra, LUDO, Sleeping Giants and any others) to help me to stand up to the bully players and get them to back off from new players. I think this is a travesty to this game. I will note that ALL the named federations above including Bad Meets Evil, are trying to help new players and not discourage them from playing.

As a result of all this, I strongly encourage all new players to:

1. never go above war level 2 and/or
2. Do not expand unless you are willing to pay for war protection or have earned enough game cash to adequately defend your country.

This is truly a nice thing you are doing, it's a shame that new players have to leave because they are harassed, and then either dominated or completely destroyed. Eventually, all who rise, must fall, either that be a soft drop, or a painful slip. Also, you always have your storage of shoes to throw from when you were little, so I guess you can fend them off with those.

Thanks, Space. Yes, I do have my shoes! :P I just think that the older players while playing their games should be doing their part to teach the game and promote growth..........not stunt it.

Now, dun get me wrong. A lil war action is fine, but consistent decs over and over and over are absurd, and I don't want to see this to continue to happen.

hehe

I am glad to see people play the war game, but I agree the huge vets are going to decimate a newer player. There should at least be some grace period, one certain player shouldn't just get out of a war, then get dec'd again.

In ref asurfaholics comment, any player can get attacked and get dec'd on again it may not be nice but it's life, as i had it happen to me a few years back when i was know under a different name and not WS, i'd gone away on holiday so didn't have the opportunity to be online, by the time i did get back online half my empire had been taken, i was p'd off so i just gave up the rest of my empire, having also paid real hard earned cash purchasing coins previously in the game. But now in 2013 i'm back to see if Simcountry has improved for the better or is it still the same old....?

Probably, but I think it is something the game vets should consider. I'm not discouraging the war game, as I think most would agree it is exciting. I also agree that wp should be utilized. However some of the players are young, don't have jobs and cannot necessarily afford infinite wp. I'm just saying.

The reset button has just been pressed and from tomorrow - improvements will be made..... and my own real cash will soon get spent.... to show the DISBELIEVERS of what I can REALLY do when I am online more often. When this happens everyone will be speaking the name of the WildStallion, asking who are you...? Where did you come from...? And as quick as I arrive, I will then fade away not to be seen of again for a while into the dustcloud coming from the horseshoes of my WildStallions.

My federation just came out of war declarations again by The Bully Machine. I just wanna throw my arms up in the air sometimes with this game. I have appealed to the game master to address these sort of issues that will keep game bullies from running off players from the game.

Here is the latest relative to my federation.........warnings are being issued to players in my federation that if they continue to be a part of my federation or are aligned with me in the game, that they will PAY.... be decced, economically ruined, blah blah. This is so wrong on so many levels.

What on earth has this game become???? Bad Meets Evil is a new federation with players who are new to the game or have not been in the game for very long. My frustration is having a game bully who consistently picks on the newer players over some personal vendetta. I have to wonder what the agenda is.....to run paying players off. I really don't get it.

I'm appealing to the game masters and the community for ideas to stop this sort of game harrassment.......one that has the potential to run players off. Please provide me your input. Pros and cons to my view are welcome.

Love and hugs to you all!

This is the one thing that saddens me with this: people take vendettas way too far. This isn't like the saber-rattling that goes on between Nico and myself. These are vets ruining other players just because of association. And for that, you have my full support.

Thanks, Lisbeth. I'm not trying to pick on anyone here, I just use the current situation as an example. It is within the rules and regulations that players can do this. I know that war levels were introduced to protect players, but a new player may not fully understand what can happen if they go above war level 2. It just isn't enough. I don't mind the occasional war, cuz I've always loved the excitement of the war game. I just think there should be some decency and fun about it, and not to the degree that this current situation has arisen to.

Not everyone may agree with me on this issue, and that is okay. I just wanted to hear from the community or if anyone had any ideas on how to keep this from happening. It just isn't decent playing, in my opinion. I've gotten some good suggestions from one player, but I want to hear from more, before I present my case to the game master with some ideas.

Thanks, everyone. Love and hugs to all of you!

I think game bullies should be abolished from Simcountry. Simcountry is supposed to be a place where you come and play a political game. Not worrying about who's gunna stalk who and who is a multi and who's not. I'm asking Gamemaster to step up and ban these people. Lets make Simcountry and political game again! Who's with me?

Taking action against one player who is not breaking any game rules is a bad precedent. How can you further making Simcountry a political game if you look to the gamemaster to solve your problems with a player? Are you suggesting that action should be taken against a player based on a popularity contest?

I have offered my suggestions to Jan. They are:

1. Offer addition incentives to raise war level.

This is a huge issue. War levels were introduced to limit newer players from experiencing wars from war veterans. The problem is, there is simply no incentive to raise to the higher war levels for most players.

Ironically, the players that do raise their war level to some of the highest levels, find themselves out of reach of many of the more aggressive war players who tend to keep their war level low.

The ideal place to start incentives is at war level 7, the first level out of reach of declaring on a new war player at war level 3. Some ideas would be one or more of the following.

-Allow war level 7+ player to upgrade units past the normal 450 limit for non-mobile units on an ascending scale. Maybe 455 at 7, 460 at 8, and so on. This would also allow these players to prepare better for higher level raiding.

-A reduction in military costs on an ascending scale. Really looking for benefits for war players here. Again, looking at maybe 5% at 7, 10% at 8, and so on. This could possibly extend to a reduction in the use of training ammo.

More ideas are welcome here. The goal is a continuing benefit that would genuinely be missed by a war player who chooses not to raise war level.

2. Limit war protection so it does not protect aggressive players.

From the war protection page, the idea of war protection is keeping your empire intact while on vacation or other occasions you are unable to play the game. Also, when you don't wish to fight.

A player who declares war on another player does not fall into these scenarios. I propose, for the duration of an active war that you initiated on another player, this protection would not function. You would not lose your balance of purchased war protection but your empire, with the exception of a country in secured mode, could now be attacked by the player you declared on or others as a result of your hostile act. This will prevent aggressors from unfairly dictating terms of an engagement using war protection.

3. A new world not connected to the others via shuttle roots and disconnected from direct trade.

Josias has suggested a game reset. Though this would put newer players at much less of an asset advantage with game veterans, this could act to cause those same veterans to leave the game for a few reasons. One, they lose anything they built and any progress towards any game goals they were working towards. Two, they would have to question any additional commitment to the game in time or money.

I think the better option would be a new world that does not benefit from current game assets. I predict this would quickly be an exciting and popular world. I would play there. However, I also predict this could affect activity on current worlds to some extent as new players would gravitate towards the new world. I would be for some type of player merger on existing worlds, especially those of the same rule-set.

I observe a very large degree of Irony... Is White Giant in equal status to that of Little Upsilon? Do we not all want peace? Or does the community media only turn its head to LU and not WG?

Stevie,

I understand what you are saying. My only argument about the war levels is this. Alot of new players enjoy fighting c3s for the game cash. If I recall, it isn't that many c3s you take that will put you at war level 3. This doesn't make a skilled war player against someone in the game who's been here more than five or so years, playing solidly. For example, I am war level 4, I only have in weapons what I have purchased over several months. If you, who have been here many years, are let's say war level 5 or 6, who has years worth of weapons stores, would it be fair to pit me against you? No, not really.

Now, having said this. This is all currently within the rules and regulations. I am all for wars. But if a player such as yourself or your game magnitude keeps deccing the less than experienced players...over and over and over, is that really necessary or fair? I don't see you doing this. No, because you play the game as it is intended to be played. You war when necessary and build your econ continuously. You are not what I deem as a game terrorist.

Aries has given me and stated above some very good suggestions. I do think it is important that the players, like you, Stevie, are given their fair due as they have sunk lots of time and money over the years. I'm not seeking any penalizations.

What I am getting at has more to do with game harrassment and bullying. I think this is something entirely different and should be frowned upon by the community as a whole.

Furthermore, Stevie, I'm not whining. I'm trying to be constructive without offending anyone. I'm trying to protect the money that I have spent and other new players have spent as well. I think this bullying behavior is a deterrent to players trying to get established in the game. I'm trying to play my game. My mates are trying to play theirs. These constant war decs and harrassment pretty much discourages me. I believe I have approached you on several occassions for your help in this sort of situation. I would think the community would want to grow the game......not keep it at a level where it is now, where the vets only control the game.

Also, Wolfie, I posted this under LU because this is what has been going on on LU. I don't see this sort of behavior on WG, but yes, I agree it should apply across all worlds in the game.

Love to you all and thank you for your input and feedback.

Oh and to Aries.......... what I am suggesting here is not an aim by me against any 1 player. I apply this to anyone who would engage in such behavior in the game to where it would discourage people from continuing to play the game. So please do not turn this into a vendetta play by me, for this is NOT what this is about. I just wanted to make this VERY clear.

This sort of play has gone on for years, and the GMs have taken steps to stop it. I think maybe a little something more should be in place, perhaps as you suggested above.

Thanks, dear.

Surprise, surprise. This is the third round of decs by this player in a month's time.

To those in BME, please, if you have slaves out of WP and you are wl3 and above, please buy WP, otherwise these continuous decs will happen by this seven plus year war vet on all your countries, as long as you are associated with me in the game.
