This document describes all types of weapons in the war game and the ammunition that is used with each of the weapons. It describes all weapons in details, including numbers of officers and soldiers that are needed to operate each weapon, the number of ammunition pieces or missiles that are used each time the weapon is fired and the affectivity, precision and destruction power of each weapon when used against any other weapon. The document should be consulted when you plan a serious war.
This document describes the capabilities of weapons in details. Each weapon has capabilities in hitting targets and destroying or damaging it. In general, when we look into the capabilities of a weapon, we want to know what the chance is that the weapon, when fired, will hit the target and if it does, what will be the damage. Will the target be destroyed (100% damage) or partially destroyed.
Defensive weapons are used for defense only. There is no way to use them in any attack. Defensive weapons are always used in response to an attack. The weapons are always part of a military unit or a garrison and the unit can be stationed at any location and will be used for the defense of that location or in the defense of the military unit.
Not all defensive weapons are effective against all offensive or strategic weapons and they will only participate in the defense if they can be effective against some of the attacking weapons.
Example: Anti aircraft missile batteries will participate in the defense if attack airplanes are used but will not participate if the attacker uses only heavy tanks.
Defensive Missiles Batteries are intended for protection of targets or military units and garrisons in your country against attacks by both missiles and land forces.
When a target in your country is attacked, all weapons in the garrison (if available), that are effective against the attacking weapons will be used.
Defensive Missiles batteries are effective against missile batteries that are used in an attack. If your enemy is using Medium range missiles or cruise missiles against a target that is defended by defensive Missile Batteries, these batteries will fire against the attacking weapons and try to destroy them. The result may be that the target you try to defend is damaged or destroyed by a cruise or other missile. At the same time, the defensive missiles may destroy some of the cruise missile batteries.
The defending forces do not need to be operated manually. The power of the defensive action depends on how many defensive batteries are part of the unit or garrison at the target, the force of the attack and the availability of defensive missiles that need to be used for the defense. It also depends on the quality of the attacking weapons compared to the quality of the garrison and its weapons and ammunition.
Each defensive missile battery will shoot several missiles as a response to each attack round. If 50 batteries are available as part of the garrison or unit that is defending itself, they will use hundreds missiles (these must be available) and can inflict a serious damage on the attacker.
Your enemy will try to attack these missile batteries and destroy them to prevent them from damaging his forces. He might attack these missile batteries using for example: Bombers and Attack helicopters which are immune to defensive missiles. The defending unit or garrison must be set up in a way that will prevent such attack and it should include weapons that will be effective against air attacks.
Defensive missiles are also effective against Navy targets, and against land forces.
These missiles like the defensive missiles are used to destroy weapon systems that are used in an attack on a target in your country and especially in your navy. If the target is attacked by missiles, the navy missile batteries will attack these batteries and destroy them if possible. It is only effective against the weapon systems themselves, not against the missiles in flight.
5. Missile Interceptor batteries - Missile Interceptors [ top ]
These weapons are used to intercept enemy missiles during their flight to the target. These defensive weapons are never effective against the enemy batteries and will never destroy any such batteries.
When a target in your country or a military unit is attacked by missiles, each Missile Interceptor Battery that is part of the military unit or the garrison that protects the target, will shoot several missile interceptors and try to intercept the incoming attack.
Depending on the size of the attack and the size of the defending force, a missile attack can be largely stopped or reduced.
Your enemy will try to destroy these missile interceptor batteries and give itself a free hand in subsequent missile attacks. Your enemy may use Bombers and Attack Helicopters in such attack.
Targets should be defended by additional weapons to stop an air attack. Your air force if available and equipped with air-to-air missiles may be able to provide air cover and using anti aircraft batteries in units and garrisons is also effective.
Navy based missile interceptor batteries are also available and have a similar function in defending the navy against missile attacks.
6. Defensive navy missile interceptor batteries [ top ]
Used to defend targets against incoming missiles. These weapons are capable of destroying missiles in flight. These missiles do not destroy the launching batteries.
7. Defensive anti aircraft missile batteries [ top ]
Used in units and garrisons to defend targets against air attacks. They are capable of destroying attack helicopters, fighters and bombers. These missiles do not intercept any bombs or missiles and do not hit the airbases where the attacks originate.
The nuclear defense batteries and their missiles are used to defend targets against nuclear attacks. The batteries are always part of garrisons, military units or mobile units that are stationed at targets around the country.
A nuclear defense battery is capable of stopping nuclear devices except for strategic bombs that can be stopped if two nuclear missile batteries are available at the garrison and two missiles are used.
The quality of the missiles is important and must be higher than the quality of the attacking weapons. If the quality is lower, the attacking weapons might slip through the defense and hit the target.
Sufficient numbers of these missiles must be available if the target should be defended against repeated attacks.
The Targon defense batteries and their missiles are used to defend targets against all missile attacks. The batteries are are part of a Targon military defense units that are stationed around the country.
A targon defense battery is capable of stopping all types of missiles. This is the only unit with such capabilities.
The targon missiles have a short range and must be placed around the country to achieve full coverage.
Large numbers of these missiles must be available with each Targon unit if the target should be defended against repeated attacks. The cost of the Targon batteries is high and they must be protected against attacks with land forces.
Defense helicopters are used in defense against attacks by land forces and attacks by missiles. When your country is attacked by missiles, helicopters will attack the missile launchers. They will also attack land units invading your country. Building a large helicopter force is a good strategy. Large air defense units with helicopters constitute a strong defense but the numbers needed depend of course on the size of attacks you may expect and the quality of the units.
Helicopters act when the country is attacked. If the country has defensive radar planes, helicopter wings are sent to defend attacked locations as the radar planes can direct the defense. If no radar planes are available or they have been destroyed, helicopter wings will be sent to many targets and only a small number will be available at the attacked sites.
Interceptors are used in defense against attacks by enemy air force. When your country is attacked by Bombers, Navy aircraft, drones or strategic bombers, interceptors will attack the incoming aircraft and try to destroy them. Building a large air force with many interceptor wings is a good strategy.

If no radar planes are available or they have been destroyed, interceptor wings will be sent to many locations and only a small number will be available at the attacked sites.
Navy Interceptors are used to defend navy units against attacks by enemy air force. When your navy aircraft carrier units are attacked by fighters, bombers, navy aircraft or drones, navy interceptors will attack the incoming aircraft and try to destroy them. Including navy interceptors as part of any aircraft carrier group is a good strategy.
Radar planes are used as eyes in the sky to alert the defensive army to incoming attacks. The radar planes are not participating in active defense but they are crucial in directing air defense wings to the targets that are under attack.
If the country has defensive radar planes, interceptor and helicopter wings are sent to the attacked locations as the radar planes can direct the defense. If no radar planes are available or they have been destroyed, interceptor and helicopter wings will be sent to all locations because of lack of knowledge on the targets that might be attacked. As a result, only a small number of defensive airplanes will be available at the attacked sites.
Armored vehicles are part of the land force units and garrisons protecting your country. Armored vehicles are also effective against Rapid deployment forces that have extended the reach of the land war beyond the direct neighbors.
Jeeps are part of the land force units and garrisons protecting your country. They are mainly effective against invading land forces. Jeeps are also effective against Rapid deployment forces and Special Forces that have extended the reach of land war beyond the direct neighbors.
Light artillery is part of the land force units and garrisons protecting your country. Artilery is mainly effective against invading land forces. It is also effective against Rapid deployment forces.
Tanks are part of the land force units and garrisons protecting your country. They are mainly effective against invading land force units. Tanks are also effective against Rapid deployment forces and Special Forces.
Defensive destroyers are used in defense against attacking navy ships. They are only effective against navy targets. Destroyers are used as part of all types of navy groups.
Offensive weapons are always used to attack targets in the enemy's country, or in attacking invading land units in your country. They are used to attack defending forces (or garrisons) stationed at these locations or the military units stations in that country. Offensive weapons can be used against defensive, offensive and strategic forces and against the navy. They can be used against civilian targets in the country, destroying cities and state corporations to damage the economy.
Not all offensive weapons are effective against all the enemy's weapons and they will only participate in the attack if they can be effective against some of the weapons used by the enemy. Example: Offensive land force units will be used against land force units and garrisons but never against air wings or navy forces.
Heavy armored vehicles are used in land units attacks against a neighboring country. Typically effective in larger numbers, against land force units and garrisons, military bases and missile batteries that are part of military units/Garrisons that are stationed at various targets.
Heavy artillery is one of the land force units weapon used in ground war. Typically effective in larger numbers, against land force units and garrisons, military bases and missile batteries that are part of military units/Garrisons that are stationed at various targets.
Heavy Jeeps are one of the land force units weapons used in ground war. Typically effective in larger numbers, against land force units and garrisons, military bases and missile batteries that are part of military units/Garrisons that are stationed at various targets.
Heavy Tanks are one of the land force units weapons used in ground war. Typically effective in larger numbers, against land force units and garrisons, military bases and missile batteries that are part of military units/Garrisons that are stationed at various targets.
Rapid deployment units are large formations that include all types of land forces and include transport aircraft that can move the forces to invade other countries.
These forces introduce the possibility to transport a unit to a different country during war, land the unit and quickly build a military airport that will allow air transport aircraft to land and bring in military units and supplies.
Special forces are small units of highly trained soldiers and officers who operate behind enemy lines and can attack bases, some weapon systems and factories. Special-forces are not used against regular large force concentrations where open battles take place with a lot of air power and land forces. Special-forces are not used to attack cities.
Special forces are dropped from air transport aircraft into enemy territory and are able to defend newly build military airports while more units are being flown in.
Seals are naval commandos. They are used to attack enemy navy ships and units. Seals get to their targets in fast small attack boats and can be lethal if used against the right targets. Seals units are used as part of some navy groups.
27. Offensive anti aircraft missile batteries [ top ]
These weapons are used as part of offensive military units to attack airplanes. This includes all types of fighters, drones, navy airplanes and strategic bombers. These weapons are never used against ground forces or missile batteries.
Mid range missiles are used to attack both land targets, weapons stationed as part of garrisons near land targets and missile batteries of all sorts. The missiles are effective against many different targets and weapon systems.
Guided missiles, fired by guided missile frigates are used to attack land and sea targets, weapons and missile batteries that are stationed in garrisons near land targets. It is effective against many different targets and weapon systems.
Attack destroyers use attack destroyer torpedoes against navy units. They are not used against any land or air forces. Attack destroyers make part of carrier groups and are used to attack any naval forces that might approach the carrier group and attack it.
The destroyers can be attacked by naval forces but also by some bombers and fighters, and by some land based missile batteries.
Attack submarines are capable of moving close to a fleet anywhere in the world and launch torpedoes. Attack submarines are one of the few offensive weapons that can be used against nuclear submarines. They are quite effective against navy wessels and can only be attacked by a small number of navy weapons.
Supply ships accompany navy units and are the main part of navy supply units and supply them with ammunition and other supplies. Lack of supplies will damage the fighting capabilities of the navy and the carriers and your enemy will try to destroy these ships to diminish your capabilities.
Attack helicopters making part of offensive air wings are used in attacks against many types of military units, garrisons and weapons. They are effective against defense forces, against land forces of all kinds, against missile batteries and some navy ships. Attack Helicopters, in large numbers are an important offensive weapon in the game.
Navy helicopters like Attack helicopters are used in attacks against many types of military units, garrisons and weapons. They are effective against defense forces, against land forces of all kinds, against missile batteries and some navy ships. Navy Helicopters, in large numbers are an important offensive weapon in the game.
Bombers are used in attacks against many types of weapons. They are effective against defense force units, against missile batteries and some navy ships. Bombers are effective because they are relatively very hard to hit and their ammunition cannot be intercepted by any missile.
Stealth Bombers are used in attacks against many types of military units, garrisons and weapons. They are effective against air force and land units, against nuclear forces and navy ships. Stealth bombers are very effective because they are extremely hard to hit and their ammunition, laser guided, is precise and effective. The bombers cannot be used against civilian targets.
Stealth bombers have a unique feature that makes them an important part of any serious army. The stealth bomber wings are capable of automatic counter attacks against your enemy in case of war.
When war starts and your country is attacked, stealth bomber units will automatically respond and attack your enemy as a reaction to attacks on your country. Unlike defensive weapons that are used to attack the launching weapons or try to reduce the attacking power of the weapons used by the enemy, stealth bomber wings will initiate attacks on your enemy, destroying air force attack wings or other military units.
The stealth bomber wings may attack enemy units that did not participate in attacks or the nuclear weapons held by your enemy.
Counter attacks must be setup by players ahead of a possible war, making a choice of targets for these counter attacks.
Fighter planes are used in attacks on the air defense wings of the enemy. They are effective against all aircraft and can be used to destroy interceptors and helicopters, bombers and navy aircraft as part of a larger attack. Eliminating defensive aircraft is important before attacks on ground forces.
Navy fighter planes are used in attacks on the air defense of the enemy. They are effective against all air force units and can be used to destroy interceptors and helicopters, bombers and navy aircraft as part of a larger attack. Eliminating defensive aircraft is important before attacks on ground forces.
In addition, navy fighter planes are also effective against many land based targets and navy targets. The combination of air and land capabilities makes the navy fighter a very effective weapon.
Attack drones are small-unmanned aircraft that are used in operations against many enemy units and weapons. Drones are slower than other aircraft and represent an easier target for several types of missiles. They are less vulnerable to attacks by fighter planes and interceptors. Being unmanned, and relative low cost, drones attacks never result in high losses for the attacking country and the cost remains limited.
Long-range radar planes are needed for the army to be able to launch effective attacks. Without these airplanes, it is impossible to see where your enemy's defenses are, what is in his military bases and where his navies are. Three long-range Radar Planes are needed to locate enemy's fleets.
Using the navies results in wars that were not possible without it and there is a need to be able to locate fleets around the world and preferably with the capability to attack and destroy them. The possibility to launch sneak attacks makes these fleets even more dangerous.
Cruise missiles fall under the strategic weapons group but they do not carry a nuclear payload. The reason for these weapons to be on the strategic list is because they are extremely accurate and can inflict severe damage at long distances. The weapons are purchased at high cost and can be destroyed by a variety of defensive weapons. They are however very effective in taking out specific targets and reducing the defensive capabilities of your enemy.

The weapons are purchased at high cost and can be destroyed by a variety of defensive weapons. They are however very effective in taking out specific targets and reducing the defensive capabilities of your enemy.
46. Conventional Long Range Missile Batteries [ top ]
Conventional long-range missiles fall under the offensive weapons group. These weapons do not carry a nuclear payload. The very long range of the weapons, combined with their accuracy, makes them very useful against far away targets but does not escalate any war into a nuclear conflict.
Conventional missiles and batteries are purchased at high cost and can destroy a variety of targets. They are effective against large targets including military bases and airports, factories and cities and should not be used against small targets as the cost is too high. The weapons can also be used in counter attacks players can set up, in the same way stealth bomber units can be used.
Strategic weapons like offensive weapons are used for attacks on an enemy in war. Strategic weapons are mainly nuclear. One is chemical. If not interrupted by nuclear missile interceptors or destroyed before the operation, strategic weapons will in most cases destroy their target big or small.
Using strategic weapons means that the war is escalated. Countries with nuclear weapons are considered aggressive and are tagged as nuclear powers on the world list of presidents.
Strategic weapons are only effective against a small number of targets, mainly military bases, airports and large cities.
When a nuclear weapon is fired, it can be intercepted by a nuclear missile interceptor. If such a defense weapon is not available, the nuclear (chemical) weapon will destroy its target. No other weapons can intercept a nuclear (or chemical) weapon.
Nuclear Missiles are one of the heaviest weapons in the game. They can deliver a large nuclear payload to a long-range target and destroy anything it hits.
Nuclear missiles and batteries are purchased at a very high cost and can destroy a small number of fixed targets. They are effective against military bases and airports, the capital and large cities. Before using these weapons, nuclear defense missiles must be destroyed to prevent destruction of these expensive weapons before they hit their target.
These weapons, if used at all, are effective in forcing defeat on a country that is already militarily weak.
Chemical Missiles can deliver a chemical payload to a long-range target and cause heavy destruction.
Chemical missiles and batteries are purchased at a high cost but lower than nuclear missiles and batteries. They can destroy a variety of targets. They are effective against large fixed targets like military bases and airports, the capital and large cities.
Chemical weapons, if used at all, are effective, like nuclear weapons, in forcing defeat on a country that is already militarily weak.
Nuclear submarines are capable of moving close to a target anywhere in the world and launch nuclear missiles that are very destructive and cause huge damage.
The cost of the submarines is high and they must be placed in a navy with many defensive missiles to protect them from attacks. As with other nuclear weapons, they are effective against all large targets including all military bases and airports, the capital and large cities. Using submarine missiles early in a war may be successful if the missiles are not destroyed by nuclear missile interceptors.
Strategic bombers are the most destructive weapons in the game. The hydrogen bombs they use are capable of destroying any target if they can get there and release their payload before being intercepted.
Strategic bombers, hydrogen bombs and the strategic air force bases they use, come at a high cost. The numbers that can be used are small and the defense of the country you attack will try to destroy them and their bases as early as possible.
Nuclear defense batteries can intercept the nuclear bombs used by strategic bombers but at least two such batteries and two missiles are needed to intercept the attack and destroy the bomb.
If two nuclear defense batteries are stationed at the target as part of the garrison, the defense will be 100% unless quality issues alter the equation. If the bombs used by the strategic bomber are of a high quality compared with the defending missiles, the defense might not be perfect.
A sufficient number of nuclear defense missiles must be part of the garrison if the defense should be able to sustain a massive attack by strategic bombers.
