Detailed Description:
should group troops, artillery, and tanks be able to cross countries to attack countries not bordering your own? I think this would really improve the war system.

You can't just cross countries with your tanks. Imagine Mexico sending tanks across the US to attack Canada. You can however transport military units by air and land them where you want them or even build airports in remote countries if you are at war with these countries.
