World War On White Giant (White Giant)

War has been declared on WGC.

There was a time when simcountry had lots of wars, and
many players built reputations as warlords, politicians,
and loyal allies. However, these times appear to be disappearing,
and for those of us who like a good war, this is discouraging.

The Mob has never been a "peaceful" federation, but has
used restraint in an attempt to let players grow on its
homeworlds of Fearless Blue and Little Upsilon.

No war of any substance has been fought this calendar
year. No players appear to care about their security
other than fending off wendy's periodic noob raids. This
is truly not the spirit of a healthy game, or a fun one.

This said, the Mob has decided to try to gain a foothold
on White Giant and secure its place as the greatest military
power on that planet. WGC is currently the largest
federation in simcountry, and has vast resources, militaries,
and experience. This federation has ruled White Giant for
many real life years, and it is time that they earn the
right to rule. They are a model federation, and the
Mob has great respect for them, and this war is not
being waged for any personal reasons.

War will rage until either the Mob is defeated, or it
feels that it has neutralized all military threats that
WGC has to offer. This said, new players and economic
players are not our primary targets, and will be
left alone unless they decide to interfere with the war.

Only when we feel that someone has accomplished something
militarly (either ourselves or WGC) will we be willing
to negotiate. When that time comes, WGC can contact me
to set up a time, place, or terms.

Translation: WGC has an immense number of poorly defended countries that we can take easily with our gang method of attack. So we will take them.

When will you wake up, I have been warning many of you this is what simcountry has deteriorated to. Unprovoked attacks fueled by nothing but greed.

To the weak federations of simcountry not really military oriented, you are threatened by a small band of pirates. This will be the second clear example of such behavior.

Its funny that the weak feds or isolated empires are targets of 'good wars' while federations capable of giving a good war are 'friends' (i.e. 3ms on FB). This group of players "those of us who like a good war" (BS) constantly avoid a good war not based on assets to be taken and thrive on targeting the people who build assets of value in the game.

This targeted and continued aggression is the single handed cause of the deterioration of the game. When players assets are threatened, they tire of playing remembering how long it took to build such empires. This group of pirates are a shite stain on this community, while proclaiming what is and is not in the spirit of the game.


They won't attack the weaker players or newer players, becuase they have not much worth taking. They would rather have you build with the false confidence that they are not after you, until you build enough for them to take.

This is the same group of players that are pushing for war protection to be removed for economic players. The reason being they don't want new players intimidated by the power of their neighbors, to be able to build peacefully without the threat of being raided for their assets.

Ive repeatedly said that time is the one factor people never factor into the things they do on this game. The assets are nothing in the grande scheme of things compared to time. If you played this game for a year or more, and someone comes along and steals what has been worked on for that time frame what motivation would you have to continue laying a game where you will be constantly under threat of restarting?

This kind of aggression is exactly what makes people want to quit, yet they accuse me of making people quit while not backing up any of those statements. I countered with clear examples of people that contribute very well to the game, and have since left becuase they have had hard work destroyed becuase of the greed of a very select organized group of players that wish to do nothing but take in a few hours, things that you have worked on for months or more.

Comparing what they do, to my 'noob raids' is not even a contest. It is a poor conceptualization of right and wrong. I do what I do 90% of the time becuase I was provoked by direct attack on the forums or becuase an attack on my fedmates by a dminating force. There is no comparison. What they do is watch and prey on assets and hard work that they themselves don't appreciate or value. You can never compare me taking a few inactive countries to this kind of belligerence.

The whole lot of you makes me sick. It will only be a time before you are dealt with on an observatory level.

One person will not defeat this kind of arrogance. While there were more than 20 people that tried to boycott me on LU while I was not warring with anyone except a light skirmish with?!?!, you guessed it, yet another asshat who apparently took a guys entire empire for apparently no reason. I was going for HOF on LU and the mob hostile bid more than 150 corps in an attempt to sabotage my level and reduce my score so I wouldn't get first place. Is this what is in the spirit of the game?

LDI was asked to disband or leave the game I believe for continued hostile aggression against weaker players. But they should have never been asked to leave. If you put these two side by side, the mob and LDI, one looks like a saint, and the other like pirates. LDI had substance. For the most part they fought players who had attitude and were willing to fight with them. They rarely attacked feds or inexperienced players without justification or a little forum banter precipitating such action. These mob just calculates poor defenses and a decent amount of assets = rape. Is this the spirit of the game?

Members of the mob have spammed the boards with post after post crying for the gms to ban me, while wiping out people from the game themselves. There is no comparison in what I do and what they do. I unite federations and groups of people to fight me. I hardly ever take a fight knowing that I will roll over or whoop an entire fed. It just never happens that way. These guys look to take out military rich countries from people and players who have spent time building and have little experience in using them. An easy kill' so to speak.

This is what the game has deteriorated to. This is negative game progression and the mob and their constant prowling for assets under the poor excuse of 'a good war' is exactly what has threatened the game for quite some time. Not me and my c3 wars or defense of my federation members. I think the track record of this federation is deplorable and despicable and should be addressed by the gamemasters in our upcoming Jozi chat. Their calls for limited or reduced wp should be discarded as well as their calls for the limitation of the use of c3s becuase the number of deterrents available is diminishing. Players should be able to use wp and any available means to defend what is theirs and what others wish to take. While what they are doing is within the rules, I know they cannot possibly wish for these or any other changes to further reduce the capabilities of those willing to fight and stand against such aggression.

It is about time the mob has been called for what they really are, a bunch of lowlife thieves.

As I said, we are not attacking any econ or new players (as evidenced by our war declarations).

WGC is the strongest federation in simcountry - hardly a raid.

Wars used to be common.

We have not fought a war in a year (since last summer).

If W3C didn't want wars, they wouldn't make half the products in the game war based.

If we wanted to raid assets, we would, and we could. We do not. We have only fought one group of players in the last year - and they responded by attacking us back. We do not pick on the weak.

We enjoy fighting and the challenge of war. This is the best opportunity to enjoy what simcountry has to offer.

The spirit of a healthy game is to play as you wish and find others who want to play with you as you wish. Yes wars are part of this game and yes its fair play to take from others things they've bought here. However i don't really want to buy anything else here, at this point in my playing life I think I'll stick to......well playing a secured main and some c3's I guess.

if it means anything aaron, you were considered probably the second biggest threat in WGC. i didn't have anything in the area, so i didn't really pay attention to that part of the planning, but they spent some time considering how to deal with you.

every one on this side of the fence has a great deal of respect for you. as far as i know anyway, i know i do

lol the second biggest threat? With only 1 really decent country? I really wish I had the time to make a proper war, unfortunately I have been working 75-80 hours/week the past few weeks and a proper war just isn't going to happen. Maybe after life settles down, who knows.

Not sure if I remember your name right - it must be getting on two years now, and I can't find the emails. Last word I had from you was that you got the money I sent you, and I never heard from you again. I hope I made it clear that it was a gift, not a loan.

I've often wondered what happened to you, and I've held you in the Light. The way you were talking a couple years ago, I was afraid you might have killed yourself. I'm glad to know you're still alive, friend.

We often do not know the consequences of our actions - it's just a game, but it touches people's lives and we don't always know how.

Yeah Indust Mech, I nuked you but as an econ player you could recover, that is the only threat nukes caused you, your countries were never in any real danger.

I stopped the second time too. Ask around in your fed, for those who certainly don't want to get involved, they have not been attacked. I classified people into groups of direct and indirect support, and those who wouldn't do either of the previous. The first two groups were the 'active players' to be attacked. The only countries I took of active players was Beo and Doctor, who both shadowed my c3s aggressively.

However in that war GREF was primary aggressor, so I let the nukes fly. I've already decided to make the distinction between those who are in GREF, and those who are using minor members for air support. This will probably be my policy moving forward. But I promise nothing.

Hey IndustMech I only attacked one of your countries. With over 100 trill in military assets. Hardly an econ country. The rest was just cover deccs. NO worries and not another shot will be fired. By the way iam not sure what you fed to those ints but they was very effective. I lost alot trying get those guys down.

See, this is why there aren't big wars anymore. People are so used to W3 protecting their assets that they don't know how. And, when a threat does actually appear, they just whinge and whine about it rather than sucking it up and defending themselves.

How many offensive weapons did you find in my countries? The bulk of my military assets are defensive ammo.

What does one plan on doing with 100t military assets? Why buy them if they're for show? Put the money out in loans. Use that money to buy war protection. It disgusts me that people are so ignorant. If you don't have war protection, your stuff ISNT PROTECTED. If you have military assets YOU BECOME A TARGET. What is SO damn hard to figure out about that?

I was buying a lot of defensive missiles and ammo. I was slowly building up my defensive weapons and garrisons. I didn't expect an unprovoked surprise attack.

Better to have too much ammo than not enough. It doesn't cost anything to store it.
