The New WGC (White Giant)

I was just attacked (every one of my 9 countries) by Iain. I guess WGC has changed their rules. No hostile action required to justify a war on their part.

Update - I wrote WGC and asked why they are attacking me. If it is something I did that offended them, I offered to make peace.

If they just want to wipe me off WG, I made them the offer that I would gladly surrender my countries saving them the easy fight on the sole condition that the countries be provided to new WGC members, who would keep the countries and run them.

All I ask is for a couple days to dismantle my defenses in the 9 countries they attacked, so new players can take them over.

It is futile to fight against the federation that completely controls WG; especially when they so hate me that they attack me in violation of their own rules.

Now it is time to see if the tyrants who run WGC run it completely for themselves, or if they care at-all for the members.

As the offer of a complete surrender and giving of my countries to new members in their fed (which results in my losing countries valued at $406, and the empire that would-have-been ranked 1st place in WG and would-have-reached level 13 in a couple days.... in exchange simply for those countries to go to newer WGC players who need them, rather than the few, right tyrant members who run WGC.

Why the offer? (1) I'd rather lose all my countries than attack the majority of WGC members; who I consider friends and value greatly. (2) I'd rather lose all my countries to a new player who will use them, than have someone strip what I spend well over a year building. (3) I see no possible way to fight WGC and win, as one person I just don't have the time. Dozzens of people have much more time than one person. (4) I am sick and tired of Iain and Jo's interplannitary mindgames. I really have no desire to interact with back-stapping people who show no loyaly to allies, but rather use people for their own benefit.

To, to make it perfectly clear so that all WG and all Sim Country can see. WGC attacked me without any provication, and --if it is their goal to wipe me off WG -- I'm agreeing to that, provided only that I be given a few days to remove my defenses and that my countries be taken by new players who will maintain those countries, rather than strip them. Given that all my countries are highly-valued, well populated, and that my empire is on the verge of reaching level 13, and winning the 1st place country award (or would-have if I wasn't attacked)....

I hope it is clear that if WGC doesn't accept the offer, that people can see that WGC leadership doesn't look out for WGC members, but only themselves.

Of course, my preference would be that WGC is just mad about something else and willing to negotate for less than destorying me. However, if they are set to take 9 countries; I'd rather negotiate to give them away, than have to engage in a hopeless fight against dozzens of my former fed members just because a couple of them enjoy their mind games.

Maybe WGC could offer an explantion in public why they deem it of value to declare on you?
As a strictly econ fed that prides itself on peace for WG,im sure there is a plausible explanation for it.

If you disagree with WGC's current conduct, why would you offer your countries to support new WGC members? In effect, you are giving WGC good reason for their actions by doing this. If you are hellbent on not fighting, why not offer your countries to new players who are not WGC members? Rather than support WGC indirectly by aiding their newbies, you could aid the newbies of another federation. You are giving the money to robbers before they've even had a chance to take it!

Further, why will you not defend yourself? If you have friends in WGC, why don't you ask them to help you out and/or leave WGC? Why don't you form an anti-WGC defensive alliance? In short, why are you rolling over so easily? Make them fight for those countries. Don't just hand them over. If WGC's conduct is unjust, who are you counting on bringing them to justice? Why not take it upon yourself? Show some initiative!

As people who know me knows, I very seldom post on the forum for numerous reasons. But this is one time I'm putting in my 2 cents. I have no idea why WGC is attacking Chrys but to be honest, it doesn't surprise me. I too have given alot of thought of attacking him. My reasons are simple. He is an annoying, long winded, whining little weasel. Thats why he has been dubbed "Crybaby Chrys."(By me) He is one of the biggest reasons why I left WGC some time back. He rants and raves over the smallest things and then whines when it doesn't go his way. Then runs people down in retaliation. Even then, WGC would defend him and his right to voice his opinion. Now, per usual, he wants to run Iain and Jo down because things aren't going his way. IMHO, your getting your just rewards.

Just to be clear, I'm merely commenting on the faulty, spineless logic behind chrysostom's "ultimatum". I have no interest in the situation otherwise.

I've heard now from 2 people in WGC saying that there is nothing on the WGC boards authorizing me to be attacked. Yet, still, 9 countries declared on by Iain...

As to what Brutus said, that makes sense to me. Namely, the "cause" for the war is that I "voice my opinion" as Brutus said.

As to running Iain and Jo down, I must note that Iain did attack me, and Jo is the WGC foreign minister. When I was in WGC, WGC NEVER attacked anyone without first trying diplomacy.

In this case, I was attacked with no warning or diplomacy. I took no agressive action first.

As to why I made my "ultimatum," it is hardly an ultimatum. If WGC wants to eliminate me from WG, they will. I have no means to stop them. I'm not sure of a single player or federation on WG that does.

I consider many WGC members friends, and don't think most of WGC agrees with the idea of attacking me. Maybe they don't like me, but I don't think most of they would support going as far as attacking me.

Therefore, my assumption is that attack is Iain and Jo and a couple other player's idea. I'd rather my countries go to new WGC members than to the people who want me destroyed.

I'm hoping that Iain and Jo just want me gone, and that they would allow the rest of the membership to vote on my offer of peace. Namely, on having my countries split up amoung younger members.

Of course, I'd rather keep my countries. However, if WGC is determined to destroy me that is hopeless.

I could fight, but if I were to fight Iain's country that attacked me, I'd be fighting his fed air defense. I looked at the countries in that fed. They are my friends. I don't want to attack them.

It is lose-lose for me. If I fight, I fight against my friends who were my allies for over a year. People who I think do not agree with the war. And, in the end, I still lose my countries. If I don't fight, I lose my empire. Most negotiation, I think is impossible.

So, I'm offering the most I think I could possibly get out of the war. Namely, that my countries that I worked on building be allowed to stay alive. Yes, with new management; but atleast they remain alive.

I know posts like this one are why Brutus calls me "Crybaby Chrys." The good news for him is that he can now re-join WGC, as I'm no longer there. Since I was the biggest reason he left, he can now return. As I said in earlier posts, I'm sorry for annoying you Brutus. I appreciate your choice not to attack me. As I said earlier, when you left, I offered Dale my resignation, and I am sorry for annoying you.

Your order of events, though, Brutus is a little backwards. Iain first attacked me, and then I posted this thread.

Scarlet, as to the logic being spineless. I agree. I don't have the spine to attack player I've been allied to for over a year. As you folks all know, I fought a war to defend Kaymen's right to speak freely earlier this month. I don't have the spine to attack him later in the month just because Iain decided to attack me. However, Kaymen's air defense also protects Iain, so I can't attack one without the other. Nor do I have the spine to attack Man of Peace who appointed me his deputy minister of internal affirs. Nor to attack BEO who recruited me to WGC. Nor to attack Keith. Nor to attack Jameson, nor to attack Jaffle, nor the other members who didn't attack me and are just in it for the ride because.

Where do I have a right to attack innocent people, who didn't vote for a war, didn't agree to one, and don't want one?

You see, that is the possition Iain and Jo have put me in. Iain declares, but he declares not just for himself, but for the whole fed. If I attack him, the shared air defense attacks several other players.

Yes, my hope is for WGC to just leave me along and let me keep my countries. However, if they decide to eliminate me; that will be the end result, just as WGC has had the outcome it wants in every war it is in.

As usual, Chrysostom is inferring all sorts of reasons behind things that happen, most of which seem to come from his own imagination and are centred around himself.

WGC has not attacked Chrysostom. The declaration of war came from one member who was acting on his own initiative, as a direct result of things that Chrysostom has said about him on this forum, and without Council sanction. WGC will deal with this internally.

If WGC had declared war unilaterally on Chrysostom, he would have received declarations from many more of us than that. However, that logic does not suit Chrysostom's twisted view that WGC is run by "tyrants". He is determined to paint a picture of WGC on this forum, as a corrupt federation which, according to him, has changed in a matter of weeks from being a large group of players who, for years, have supported everyone's peaceful enjoyment of this game to a power-hungry tyrrany that wants to run the entire planet.

His evidence for this? His access to our private forum was restricted (as a result of his own actions) and one member has taken exception to the way he was publicly insulted and has acted against him on his own initiative.

If WGC was everything Chrysostom says we are, many, many more players would have a problem with us and this forum would be buzzing with accusations against our federation. Many, many of our members would have left WGC rather than put up with such a radical change of heart.

As it is, only one member has left - the one who is determined not to take responsibility for anything he has done to hurt a group of people who, for a long time, trusted him and were his friends. We neither need nor want to wipe him off the face of the planet. He left our fed - that is enough.

I'm thinking that WGC should ensure a fair one on one fight if they consider themselves to be neutral. Remove Iain from their fed, let them have their fight and when its done let him come back into the WGC. Then everyone's happy.
Even General Booboo ;) had the honour to fight me Mano-a-mano by leaving the protection of his feds air defences.

Thank you for clarifying that it is not WGC attacking me. My appologies for thinking this was WGC approved. I could not imagine why your live-in boyfriend of 17 years, who is high-enough up in WGC to be able to ban someone without consulting anyone else from the WGC forum, and who has been in WGC for longer than I've played Sim Country; would break the WGC rule and attack someone without prior authorization.

Just to correct a couple typos on your part.

1- 4 of the 6 officers elected in the last elections (January) have since left WGC. Those leaving were the: Minister of Defense, The Minister of Recruitment, the Internal Affairs Minister, and the Minister of Economics (me). The only 2 remaining elected ministers are you (foreign minister) and Dale (chair).

2. You are contradicting yourself when you say that people were my friends and I broke their trust. A few weeks ago, you said that I had never worked as part of a team. It is illogical for someone who never worked as part of a team to be at-the-same-time a trusted member of the federation and a friend. Pick one story and stick with it. Either I was a trusted member and friend who betrayed you; or I was a malcontent who never got along with people. Can't be both at the same time.


3. As to Iain's taking exception to being publically insulted; ROFLMAO. Nice try. If he were mad, he would (as Nix said) leave WGC and attack me 1 on 1. Or....goodness forbid....he could agree to leave me alone in which case I'll do what I've done for the last 2 weeks. Say nothing about him and have nothing to do with him....you know, how things were before he attacked me.

So, my point is that I'm glad to hear that WGC has not authorize this attack.

I would hope that WGC would require Iain to leave WGC before he attacks me.

Once again, a mixture of half-truths and personal interpretation from Chrysostom.

1) Of the four Officers he mentions, one (MattW) has left the game altogether for personal reasons and two others (one of whom was Brutus) left WGC as Brutus stated above because of Chrysostom, not as an objection to an imaginary change in policy, and remain good friends. The fourth was Chrysostom himself. Since then, WGC has held elections for the vacant postions and all Officers have been elected by the membership, apart from Chrysostom's position which is currently filled by the Deputy HE nominated. The only reason for that is that we have been somewhat busy fighting a war that might have died down if he hadn't escalated it and then run away.

2) There is no contradiction in what I say. Friendship and the inability to play as part of a team are not mutually exclusive. Everyone in the fed knew Chrysostom found it difficult to work with the rest of us, but that didn't stop us from being his friends for over a year. Only his own actions after he left have done that.

3) There are plenty of players who will attack as a result of comments about them on this forum and not all of them will limit their aggression to a one-on-one war to settle differences. People interpret 'honour' in different ways and there is no game rule stating how you have to deal with someone spouting bullsh*t about you.

I would like to thank everyone for their suggestions on how WGC should deal with recent events. However, this is an internal matter. Every fed governs itself in its own way. Some do not legislate on who their members can attack. Others do. WGC will deal with this according to our own rules and take full responsibility for the outcome, whatever that may be.

Can WGC be trusted???

I have to admit I am also concerned with their recent expansion into my neighborhood and feel an attack on my territories may not be far off. Do they stomp all over newer players or is this just a personal grudge you are talking about? I am just a small fish in a big pond, just trying to scratch out some fun in this game. I wouldn't consider being destroyed by a number of experienced players fun, but WGC may prefer to fight that way. I'm not really sure what to expect, time will tell....

There's no reason to worry about anyone in WGC attacking you Gilherme.

WGC is a peaceful federation, Gilherme. The only time the federation goes to war is in response to an attack on our members. Even then, we usually attempt to resolve it with diplomacy before the wars go live.

No player who is here to play the game peacefully and with respect for others has anything to fear from us.
