Out of curiosity, what does one need to accomplish to become an economic super power, Lee?

I normally troll you more than 100% of the time, but this time, I'm actually serious.

I ask because while yes, you do make profits, there are many others who do as well, and I'm wondering how you're judging who is or isn't an "economic super power." What do you consider to be economic success?

The income of four of my states out produces all of yours, economically. Most of these states have weapons, and defenses up constantly. Sussex has more ammunition than you have military assets in your entire account.

I am not some uber eco player, either.

How do you like them statistics?

My Enterprise CASHCOW earns 794.83B each game month so that's 1.27325 Trillion each game month.

Also I'm aiming for 1st prize again for the second time with CASHCOW.

As I didn't include mine. Nor the rest of my empire. Only four states. On one planet. I also think you should take a closer look at CEO profits and what you end up with. You do not get away with what your CEO profit says you do. I'm surprised your bragging about your CEO, when your primary profit maker is the IPO method. It seems you don't know much about how your economy really operates.

Bragging about winning first is a little silly. A brand-new CEO can get first. It's about averages, and indexes, not gross anything. Not to mention, many of us have already taken various GC prizes in exchange for score penalties. Take the win where you can, I guess.

You are not an economic superpower. I don't think you quite fathom what many people can and do make.

Whatever way you're making the money make it.. what matters is you're counting the cash... For who's an economy superpower both parties are trying.. considering when both players started, Mathew has been around for a while way before Lee Returned.. Lee came this year if I'm not mistaken... There are other Stats we look out for tho..

What I'm wondering, Lee, is why you felt the need to announce that you're now describing yourself as an economic super power. There are probably ten+ players who make more money than you do on White Giant alone AND additional players who've played long enough that they probably have many times larger cash reserves than Lee. My account makes MANY times more profit per month than yours - so to me, you're... certainly not a super power.

Is this just an attempt to yell "I'm relevant?" If so, you quiet down. Yelling "I'm relevant" doesn't work. Actions, not words will earn you the reputation you so desperately desire.

I just don't understand what the point of this was or what criteria we're using. You make OK money, but you're certainly not one of the best econ players on your planet, let alone in the game.

Lastly, while enterprises got brought up - know that profits LISTED IN YOUR FINANCE REPORT are *EXTREMELY* inaccurate. CEOs are fun but they do not *actually* make much money. While Lee is undoubtedly making goods purchases and sales and may be opening new corporations, you can tell by looking at his cash flow that he's NEVER clearing 800b profit in a month, which, to be fair, is what his finance report tells him he's making. In fact ,the enterprise tax is making it so he basically breaks even most of the time he isn't trading commodities.

This feels like the 10th thread I've had to comment about enterprise tax in the last month to explain enterprise tax is causing someone to not actually making as much money. Perhaps when you become a good econ player, Lee, you'll know these things!

Yeah the double taxation seems a bit unfair. My ceo reports profit but its not a net profit. And on top of that comes enterprise tax, which is calculated in a way only God... I mean Andy... knows how. Especially if you take into consideration that that (ent tax) money is not flowing anywhere, it just disappears.

@neutralsc - Ent tax is based off total assets in the CEO. From the documentation:

Many Enterprises are successful in the game and make a large monthly profit. Some of the profit is used as "cost of running the enterprise". The cost depends of the financial strength of the enterprise and may range at the level of 0.05% to 0.1% of the total assets of the enterprise per (game) month.

Translated - if your CEO is worth 1Q, you're paying a hidden, non-reported tax of between 500b and 1t EACH GAME MONTH.

@Clonan It is not about who is making more. Many people make far more than me, even my WG countries are not completely developed. I have allies that make several times what my entire account makes. Lee needs to sit down and take a hard dose of reality.

The point is, Lee is bragging about being an economic superpower. He is not close to one. Even the profits you made David, which are impressive to 90% of the player base, was absolutely dwarfed by some.

I do not pretend to be some uber eco power and I do not go around bragging about my economy when it is VERY not competitive with others. Lee continues to flaunt himself being a veteran, being from the good old days and being one of the most competent players here, despite not even knowing how to hit WL3. It might not even be as bad if he did not have a history of being the most insufferable person on the game.

Did you know my first act with Lees country Sun was to send them an invite to the WGA embassy? Then he immediately after started listing off countries he could invade.

Stop saying things that make people laugh at you and people will stop laughing at you. I respected you a WHOLE LOT more when you geared up and moved to WL3. Even if we did not get along, I could never say you were incompetent at the game. Because you are not. Lee is. Does it a lot. Now that he has got a 1v1 promised he is suddenly quiet and ignoring it. Egotistical, cowardly, mediocre skill and big mouth. It is no surprise a fair amount of people use him for sport, or in the case of WGA is mostly ignored as a pest.

The point is not that I have a better eco than Lee. The point is, his eco is 0% competitive against anyone except newer players. And really, all it does is further show how ignorant he is about aspects of the game. Which is not a bad thing, until you insult others, brag, and make yourself out to be a general troll.

I could easily achieve war level 3 and was at war level 7 years ago. I chose to remain at war level 2 for the moment as I'm not looking to engage in war right now.
