Can't Sell EP from Enterprise

Hi Andy,

My Enterprise "Buy N Large" on Golden Rainbow is unable to sell EP. I can make the sale order, put it on the market, and see it on the trade overview page. The next game month, the sale order just vanishes, and no EP is sold. I have gone through this several times and I'm completely unable to sell EP on the world market from my enterprise.

To test it, I just placed 2 offers by your enterprise.
One is immediate, for 20 units, the other is at best price, for 10 units.

I would like to see what happens.

can you tell me about the quantity of EP you offered?
Offering huge numbers of EP units can exeeed the max selling limit for a single game month.
In such a case, you do get a message that the offer is too large and it does not get through.

The two offers I placed for very small quantities went through and sold.
I think that the quantity you offered was very large.

can you please let me know.

I have had a similar though not identical issue that I'm unable to pinpoint the cause of. I will sometimes place multiple items for sale in a month (most commonly TA mining products). I can only place as many as the system says I have selling value space for of course, and the spending space does seem to properly reduce for each product placed up. But often, especially when the total products are near the selling value limit, some product sales at the game monthly turn when sales are processed will simply disappear. The products don't go anywhere so they're not lost, but say I put up a bunch of Targon, Metadium, and Baradium in a month; often only the Targon will actually sell even though all are in deep shortage and Best Price is used - and the sales offer for Metadium and Baradium will simply disappear. That sounds similar to the issue WalkingGlitch is having even though he is only placing one item for sale in the game month. So somewhere there appe

Unsthable,
I think it is the same problem.
Sales take place and the price of the product can flutuate or a different sale comes between.
Then, an offer execcds the max sale amount and orders disappear.

I now suspect that the message that should show in such cases, is lost.
I will find out how the message is issued.
if it is on the screen for several seconds, that does not help much.

maybe the newspaper is a better place.

HI Andy. The quantity of EP I was trying to sell at once was 61,414,122, which is the maximum amount the game will tell me that I can sell if I try to enter a higher quantity.

One caveat to the value fluctuation theory is that when I put my EP order up, the EP market was already maxed out on price. I will transfer a bunch from my empire and try it again.

As for publishing it the newspaper, I think that's a good idea, but I would recommend adding a table for cancelled orders/sales in the trade overview page for the prior 12 game months.

I tried it with 60,000,000 EP and it went through. Some check in the system is not doing math the same way as the order size limit check.

I had it happen in my country Marcadia on GR as well, when trying to sell the maximum amount that the game says you can.

It is definatelly the amount you sell.

The trading system tries to make the deals and sometimes makes them at a slightly different price.
Also, other sales in the same month, in contracts or otherwise also bite into the max sales.

The trading system is working for many years and we did not have any ärbitrarry refusal of sales orders.
What happened to you, happened before and it was the total amount of goods sold.

One of the problems we have is that the system may accept your offer because it seems within the limit
but when it comes to executing it, the price is slightly different.

We need to make sure there is a clear message about it.
we might need to set the limit slightly lower when you place the offer,
then accept slightly larger sale limit when it is execute.
This might keep offers several percentage points lower and avoid the problem.
