I cannot claim to be 100% sure, but I believe that Investment Funds that are supposedly being manually managed are automatically buying new shares. I cite the following observances:
1. I turned off automatic buying/selling of shares for the investment fund in my country of Scarlet Citadel on Golden Rainbow. I have been working to eliminate Share Holding in undesired corporation types. I haven't exactly been monitoring the list of corporations, but I believe to be seeing new corporations pop up on the list of corporations I have shares in.
2. All the public corporations I own in the enterprise of Thus Spoke Scarlet on GR are attempting to gain 100% control. However, there are shareholders (specifically investment funds run by certain inactive players) that do not sell, even when the corporation reaches a P/E ratio of 998.9 (which I have intentionally tanked several times) and I am attempting to purchase the shares. This would suggest that the investment funds are not set to automatically sell, but are automatically buying shares as the players were more than likely inactive at the time of share purchase.
Once again, I cannot prove anything, but I'm 90% sure that the case is that the investments funds are automatically buying shares when automatic buying/selling of shares is turned off.
