What the hell is going on? Laguna speaks out publicly against Treasurer's BAN (no it was not a suspension) and then decides to pull a 180 and ban a player for expressing an opinion?

Laguna went on the record stating he didn't agree with bannings such as the one handed down on Treasurer, yet he is so quick to wield his banhammer because his feelings were hurt?

The post or sentence I refer when giving my warning amounts to the symbological example of all the painful annoyance the users of this forum have been suffering for four months. If you are unable to perceive this or feel compassion towards the users of this forum, Klarina, then that is a problem you will have to resolve on your own.

I have calmly read the complaints and view from afar all of the sadistic conflicts being fought on this forum, as opposed of being resolved in-game, in hope that in the end you would all be able to resolve them by yourselves. Seeing the unhealthy length of time that as already passed, it is time to speed up the process or solved it.

I was not distorting but raising the similarities of bannings for what amounts to nothing but people venting off steam like what Treasurer did as well. Sam was venting. Dan was venting.

The original intent of the bans was to punish those that were using this forum as a soapbox to spew hate using ant-semitism, profane language, sexism, and racism for their transgressions and to protect the users of this forum from having to be exposed to such behaviors.

The fact remains that the banhammer is being called into battle much more frequently and for reasons other than it's original intent.

It used to be that we settled all of our differences on the battlefield. With the advent of secured mode those days are long gone.Now anyone may stir up trouble and poke and prod whomever they like while they hide behind their war protection. these forums have aided in the hate that is prevalent in this game by allowing them to hit and run.

We are all guilty of these crimes, each and every one of us from the top to the bottom. Ban one, and you might as well ban all. You may call it a suspension if you like, but where I come from, if no term limit has been issued it is a BAN. When the ban was given there were no time limits issued in either case. So in my eyes and most intelligent people who read this, it was a ban until the terms were publicized.

Down with secured mode I say. Let us all stand and fight for our own honor. If you can't settle it with your weaponry when it comes to player on player aggression then maybe the parties that are afraid of losing secured should shut up and behave until they can put their money where their mouth is, or face war.

As for the other bannings for comments deemed detrimental to the Gamemasters, I leave that to the Gamemasters for they have the final say ultimately. They do not bend to public criticism or disfavor from the masses. They felt their dignity was impugned and that's fine. It is after all, their game. They told us from the beginning if we don't like it, leave. Treasurer hasn't left. He is still here in spirit. He will return when allowed to. But it is a ban and not a suspension because he hasn't been notified of any such decision to place a time on the ban.

He would rather see that bannings and suspensions be limited to their original intent and that is all.

Right now, Wendy, you can start by lowering your pride, hostility and not snipe every chance you have to hurl a rock at Sam.

It is impossible for one sole person be the blame for all the bullshit, as General G stated, in the forum.
Removing who annoys or removing who is annoyed would stop this, but nothing is that simple.


None of you is forced to verbally or virtually act. You have more options than you think. I am cutting them to the socially acceptable though. The most reasonable of all would be to keep your public spouts centralized in place and confine them in time - less slapping, all in one place followed by nice, long periods of no-slapping.
Seems easier than getting to accept or ignore the other.

I went from IRC to regular chat, becuase you all keep crying to the admins, LG, iki-ryo, James/Tamara, and Genie, for ban spam, and no one really cares because they all know you are just as much to blame as me. But to be pulled aside by Genie, and iki, and have "pep-talks which amount to "I will never hear the end of the crying<=== if I don't say something, so I am saying it to you, Wendy" kind of talks is BS. If you don't provoke and be over disrespectful it won't be returned to you. Do not dish it and you would n't have to take it. Simple I think. Indeed, SIMPLE.

I returned to IRC because the SC chat is SUPER UNSTABLE and its redundant to log on 5 times in ten minutes. So when i need to have a convo directly w/o interruptions I go there, not to mention how anyone who wants to talk wants to meet in IRC because they don't like main chat. But my new friends and players for some reason can't or won't get IRC.
