Critical Assessment of a Cluster Fu*k (Golden Rainbow)

Yes this war is a clusterfuck. We have had weeks ofendless crap now and I felt the time was right to offer a critical assessment of the facts.

This is a war based on half truths and lies. The root cause for UC is based on the fact that Dizzy can not apologize for being a sexual freak in the chat room. After being busted he let the situation deteriorate to his being chased from the game. Now he tells half truths to his Fedmates and gives them a scapegoat for his personal war.

Now with this fallacy firmly entrenched in UC dogma we can proceed to the next portion of this charade. Zip. Now the question becomes what was Zip attempting to do. Obviously to any casual bystander it was a self concerted effort to infiltrate UC. Does this implicate AF? No. Of course not. If this were a casus belli for war the preparations would have been made in advance to capitalize on this information and invade UC. As far as the record shows no preparations were made in advance. AF has fought a defensive war instead of the expected coordinated assault....

But on the UC side we can see the misuse of SC funds for months ahead of time in preperation for war. So it seems the Zip issue was nothing more than an welcome excuse for agression on UC's part.

The most disturbing part to me has been the continued poor sportsmanship and lack of any end game planning on UC's part. The continued misuse of the SC being a large part of it. The personalization of "enemies" is disturbing as well.

If this was a war for respect as claimed so vehemently by UC it has failed miserably. Instead of respect UC has hurt the ability of their players to leave GR and establish on other planets. I do not speak for anyone other than myself but I will never allow a UC member to take slaves in my regions. They are untrustyworthy asshats as their actions have shown. Depending on further actions they may not be allowed to take slaves at all.

So in conclusion this war of agression is a clusterfuck. Both sides have failed. We are stuck in an 1915 endless cycle of warfare with no end in sight. The only solution I can offer is a cease fire in place with a division of some sort to prevent further occurences of asshattery from either side. I cannot speakfor either side but would encourage this to be enacted as soon as possible.

There are no winners in this pathetic attempt at world domination.

Dizzy will never allow this to happen as he suffers under the false assumption that his actions are forgotten because he changed his name. The only solution is to expose him as I have done.

Now I'm someone who really has no dog in the hunt so the whole thing is mostly academic interest to me.

That said I'm interested in the root cause you portray. No offense but I have to wonder how much is conjecture. I think it may be too simple of an answer to the root cause question though sometimes there really are simple answers. Perhaps this is one of those times but as an observer I greet the theory with a measure of skepticism.

I definitely agree with the observation that the sides are stuck in a WWI style war. The ability to utilize C3s in the manner they have been has extended this greatly beyond what it would be if it was a core country only conflict. I have to wonder if there will be adjustments in the war system as a reaction to minimize this effect as it highly imbalances the overall system.

I'm of the opinion that at this time any cease fire would simply be a lull in the storm, not the end. Every storm eventually blows over but this one I think has a while longer.

Very interesting Quezcoat. Problem is, Dizzy didn't recruit me for his so called 'personal war'. I joined in for my own reasons. By attacking an AF member way back in late Feb. I fully expected to be annialated but that didn't happen. Seems this new war engine left the expert warriors on the same playing field as my rookie ass and we all founght on a clean slate. As Deffy has brought up in the past, yes, i had 3 countrys in protecto so that I could sell them to my Brother Austia after the war. Well, I figured that my war with the AF was somewhat a victory even tho I lost alot of assetts so I decided to hang around and give it another go. Shall I repeat I DO NOT FOLLOW DIZZYS ORDERS! What you say may have merit but it has nothing to do with me, period.
I can agree with you that this war is wierd with no real end in sight...it can go on for many GY with no resolve. Eventually we all will get bored of the all-nighters we hafta pull just to win a battle. Yes, we will come to some sort of resolve and life on GR will go on. I personally don't think either side is quite ready for that step yet. Too much shit talk has flown and a few grudge matches have to be won first. And the half truths you speak of? Don't tell me that the AF is innocent of this very same infraction. To tell any of us otherwise is pure BS.

I myself am not ready to lay down arms. I have a pending battle with Barney Rubble...its not so much a personal battle but for fun. I get along with the guy and I think we would both get kicks out of it. Maybe even drink some beers as we fight. Deffy and I have a pending battle too. It isn't personal either. I would like a piece of him tho simply because I think he would be an awesome match-up. 2 great Generals duking it out.Whaat do ya think Deffy? You gonna give that to me or are you gonna hide in protection all your life?

PS-Come on Defcon, you need to quit beating the multi-drum. Austia and I are not the same person. We simply share a computer. Damn good thing to. Imagine if we each had own own? It wouldn't be a good thing for the AF.
