Simcountry has an extensive system of checks that is designed to prevent countries from failing.
That system can be turned off, on the automation page and it is automatically turned off for countries in game level 4 and up.
Despite the possibility to turn automation off, certain conditions always survived and kept working for players in the initial playing period, or when countries were close to bankruptcy.
It causes complaints and irritations and it is not worth the trouble.
We have now searched and found several such interventions and turned them off.
Interventions are now dependent on a player setting them on, using the automation page.
there, you can ask for such interventions and turn several parts of such interventions on or off.
We hope that everything now depends on these automation parameters.
The system is quite large and it is very thorough in the way it works and it is possible that some of these interventions have survived.
We request you to react to any such unwanted intervention and tell us what happened.
This is tricky as it is not always clear, something you do not understand is the result of such an intervention.
Possible problems might be:
- The building of schools and high schools.
- Unwanted new hospitals
- Unwanted new corporations.
Although we really want to make sure such interventions are only possible on an explicit request, you should realize that when, for example, schools are build for you, it means that the country has far too few schools for its own good.
None of the interventions were unnecessary. They were just uncalled for as most of you want to do it yourselves.
The chance a country will go down if a president does not login for some time is much larger.
You are advised to set automation parameters on if you are away for some time.
