1. Uploading Icons to customize Simcountry Objects.
A new feature is now available, making it possible to upload your own icons for all objects on the Simcountry maps.
You can now add your own icons to the available ones on the map pages and choose the icon you want for each city, corporation, fortification etc. Each uploaded icon will be available, automatically, to the entire empire.
To avoid any possible confusion during war, the war maps will not be changed and will always show the standard set of icons.
2. Gold Coin Trading
Gold coin trading is now restricted to transactions between players. Obtaining gold coins from the game itself remains possible by various means. Players can win monthly awards for high ranking (the number of these awards is increasing), by improving their country economy and moving to high game levels (more game levels will be added), by winning wars against higher level C3 countries and increasing their war levels (War levels have already been added and more are under way), and they can purchase them from the gamemaster. More and new challenges will be added as new features and will include new ways to win gold coins.
The use of gold coins can be reduced by a choice of the number of empires and enterprises one keeps.
3. Higher Game awards
Game awards will be increase before May 1. The number of awards and the total number of gold coins that are awarded will increase.
4. Higher Game Level Awards
Game level awards, have been increased for many game levels and will be increased even further with the introduction of higher game levels. Details are in the game levels document.
5. Higher War Level Awards extending to all worlds
War level awards are now increased for many of the levels and very high awards are available for the new war level 9 and 10. More war levels will be added in the future and the war level awards will increase more.
War level awards on all worlds (Currently FB only) will be introduced but FB will remain the world with the highest level of awards.
6. Game levels - another update
Moving up the game levels (playing the full game including the war option), is now possible either with a very high defense and defensive indexes or by moving up the war levels. As we have announced before, he requirements for the defense indexes will in time increase and moving up the game levels will require a high war level.
The defense index requirements have now increased a little more. Reaching higher game levels remains possible by building a large army but fighting to reach a higher war level becomes a more attractive option.
More such changes in the future will phase out the defense indexes as a way to increase game levels.
Reaching higher game levels while playing the game including the war option will depend on the fighting capabilities of the country rather than its capability to purchase weapons.
7. Recent reductions in numbers
A major reduction in the numbers has taken place in the past week. Countries have seen a decline in cost that was even larger than initially expected.
Corporation revenues are reduced and mainly the sale of products above quality is now obsolete because the differences between requested and offered quality became too wide. The cost of raw materials and other cost followed with the expected delay. Currently, although profits declined with the declining numbers, even more corporations than before are profitable.
The decline is not completed yet but results seem more stable. We expect more (smaller) declines in the future.
The total value of assets declined after the change and caused some worries, including the thought that all values will dissipate entirely. This was despite repeated explanation of the process by the gamemaster of the way these changes will influence assets and pricing and the expected delays.
In the mean time, asset values recovered and shot past their values before the change. Asset values will continue to fluctuate (as they always did) and in the long run, we expect them to have a lower value in game money but a higher value in Gold coins.
All products in Simcountry cost less than before. This includes weapons and ammunition and of course all products that are used as raw materials. Countries spend less and the cost of building an army, are significantly lower. In general, the amount of game money needed to run the country, declined significantly over the last couple of months.
8. Profitability of Corporations
It seems that many players are not aware of the most important parameters that can improve the profitability of their corporations. Some reduced their raw materials quality to 100 to reduce raw materials cost but their revenues declined even more. Quality of up 160 or even 180 may increase profits.
Salary levels should be at 300 and even more but will start costing more than the advantages they bring at much higher levels.
Many players are unaware of the welfare index and its influence on the production in corporations. A low welfare index is a major factor resulting in low profits in many corporations.
