for months now we've all been complaining about the HLW problem. we have chewed on, swallowed, and thrown up this issue ad nauseum. i keep telling everyone i can, that if it could be fixed, it would have happened. i continue to believe that the problem is so systemic that it would take a major over haul of the whole system to fix it. if not, why would they continue to make add ons that no one uses or cares about. we will just have to become a game of tweekers.

I've said it before and I'll say it again in every thread that mentions worker shortages. It is GAME RUINING (not breaking). It detracts from the fun of running any kind of empire or CEO if you constantly have to deal with this issue. As a ruler of a 12 nation empire, I'm tired of having to spend my time (usually 1 full hour) solely devoted to HLW shortages. It's gotten to the point that I don't bother dealing with it because W3C hasn't given me the tools to deal with it. I used to look forward to logging into this game but now, I'd rather read the news as I know I am facing yet more shortages. I wish we simply had the power to convert LLW's into MLW's and into HLW's with NO LIMITS.

Maybe they need a trade school of some sort... where LLW can go to become MLW and where MLW can go to become HLW. What good is 6M LLW workers when I have no HLW?

Zentrino, I have a proposal on the exclusive voting that is that exact thing. Vote for it (not that it will do any good). I just want the friggin thing fixed!

It is SOOOOOO much fun logging in to find that all my HLW once again have been reduced to 24,000, AND I'm once again short from an employment standpoint on top of it.

It never used to be this bad, whatever they've done in the last 2 weeks has made the problem WORSE.

someone needs to figure out the ideal education index. I have a slave with no schools and it had 400K HLW sitting in it. I think the extreme amount of schools for educational index is boning the HLW creation

TuCulo,
What's your pop. sometimes that makes a difference. but it may be that we need to destroy schools. but then that hurts your indexes.

Considering the whole point of the game is to raise your indexes (in theory, see leveling, score etc.), it makes zero sense to have it that from a practical standpoint you want a low education index.

However, the problem seems to strike at random. I have two countries with similar education indexes and similar populations, and one of them has the problem of having 24k HLWs unemployed regardless of the number needed (and my attempts to bump the number up) and the other one has been humming along fine with respect to HLWs

EDIT: In fact, I just double checked now, the country with the HLW problem has a noticeably lower education index at the moment, and is stacked with more elementary schools than high schools, and more of those than universities with respect to index, since I thought that might help - it hasn't)

I have the problem all over my empire. It does not always set to 24k every day, but I am always running short i every country. No matter what I do, I can never build any surplus of HLW. It has gotten to the point, when I notice a country has even 10K extra HLW, I transfer them to a country with a huge shortage because I know the extra will disappear soon.

Seems as though they've adjusted SOMETHING on the HLW front.

Some of my countries now have above/below 24K, and I know a couple others at least have noticed the same.

High Tech Seniors seem to have a new floor of 4800, from observations.

High Tech Executives I'm about to throw the towel in for, even 30+ Edu Priority is NOT enough anymore.
