As to your account, it is very clearly written in the rules and regulations that country names, capitol names, pictures and what not that can be contrued as offensive by anyone is strictly prohibited and will be removed. I suggest you read the rules and regulations. The GMs and moderators of this game have the right to access these areas of players' accounts to protect the integrity of their game. You should find yourself lucky that they didn't lock you out completely and that they gave you warning.

unwanted viewing of male genitalia is offensive. the reason things like this are funny, is because nothing usually can be done about it. its like picking on the Amish. their passive so you'll get away with it. throwing things out of moving vehicles, or any number of mean things that can be done, because their is no possibility of a response. usually, these things are defended with a sense of humor theme.

this entire thread is more of that. "o it offends you? lets talk about it!" where the offended party is forced to back down to being in the minority. this kind of thing in the work force, can be called sexual harassment. and if the offended party was to pursue their right, not to be exposed to images of male gentiles, then the offending party could be terminated, or sued.

this is a game, how ever, it remains that many normal people are offended by such things. when the GM step up and do the right thing, mocking them in this way, is just a way to escalate the issue, to make it bigger, more offensive. and look good doing it.

this is childish. the grown up thing to do, would be to go, "ok, i get it," and move on, even if you disagree. how ever, the very nature of the offensive invites one to judge the maturity of the original poster, along with his continued (successful) effort to be even more offensive, to get his way.

which is what makes it funny to you. you can do something, rude, that few can respond to. and when some one does stand up to you, you hind behind "get a sense of humor," turning the tables, and making the offended, the offender, but the very nature of the event, is meant to humiliate, embarse, or other wise make them uncomfortable.

the process debases any one that would disagree with you. which is why when you are presented with your immaturity, you go on the defensive. when in reality, you have no defense for humiliating others.

Great posts, Orbiter/Josias. The fact that people cannot respect other people, get a rise out of upsetting them or offending them, to me is astounding and a sad representation of what this world and some of its people have become, and as to this game....what this game has become.

It's one thing to joke around and be funny, but if you see that you are upsetting someone, a NORMAL person would back down and be apologetic. Failure to do this as has been the case with Wendy, Eb (Alterd), JohnDoe (this sort of I dunno so called "game" mentality) just demonstrates that something is "off" upstairs with these people. They possess some sense of wrongful entitlement...perhaps they are just unhappy people and seek thrill in hurting or offending people. I dunno.

You run people from the game. Not everyone appreciates your behavior and statements. You lose this game money and players. I echo Orbiter/Josias, you people need to grow up and be respectful of others.

Some just don't waste their time with nonsense. Some crude humor is funny and can be appropriate but there is a line.

Drys, I have a great sense of humor. BUT......if someone takes offense and expresses a complaint or concern, these players should respect that. Instead they further push buttons, probably even more so than before. They think they are funny and it makes them stand out.

I'm all for fun, but sometimes it becomes NOT FUNNY and NOT FUN. People should take into account other peoples' feelings. their was once i made a crude comment to jan, i instantly regretted it, i apologized, and we moved on. people make mistakes, being male, we often make many. its pseudo-expected, one of the differences between being a man and boy, is owning up to your own mistakes, excepting responsibility, and not laying blame on others

when your a man, you don't need to show every one your penis, for them to know your a man. they'll know from your behavior. thats why public displays of male genitalia are unnecessary, lude, and childish

If someone complains or speaks against it, the responsible, adult thing to do is to tone it down.

There was a time when me and Crafty were goofing off, and Crafty had a picture of the male genitalia as his avatar and I had NONONLUO girl in a tight tshirt showing cleavage. A player very nicely asked Crafty and I to change our avatars, because he was a minister/pastor and it made him uncomfortable. Because we respected him, we did as this player asked, apologized for any offense. We didn't try to offend him, make fun of him because his sense of humor wasn't the same as ours. Want to know why? Because we were decent enough to respect someone else and their views.

If you boys wanna draw pictures of penises and call each other bad names.......get Skype or something and flash and type away.....but not on a public venue where people can be offended and not want to read the filth.

Of course, we could opt to just not post or read the forum any more or even play the game any more. From what I'm seeing there is a massive decline in the forum posts and general chat. There is no need for people to speak up against this nonsense because the solution can be gained by ignoring the problem outright. Just observe and watch, what is the need of replying and feeding the perpetrators? Yes its inappropriate, yes that is how they regularly act and yes it may be funny but will you change them? No... Josias/Orbiter and I used to fight like cats and dogs. He did say something ugly to me in the past. He was man enough to apologize. Although I did make him suffer for a while. :P I count Josias/Orbiter as a dear friend online now, someone I love to hear from and the things going on in his life. We still don't agree on some things. I may even fuss at him, but I respect him.
