A word to W3C

I originally started playing this game, in January of 2007, my teen age son was a couple month old at the time. I played, mostly on, and some off, until I took an 8 year hiatus. And recently returned.

On my return, I've payed a little extra, for a little more playability. Notably, Tiny Atlas, and Targon Defense. I held back the first week of TA, because I couldn't justify the GC. Altho I was grinding my teeth, at losing the opportunity to show case my skills on the Tournament world. Then you advertised the basic capabilities of the Targon defense, and I committed to playing on TA.

I've spend allot of game resources, and allot of time investing into TA, and Targon.

You how ever, have failed to meet, every single deadline. And now, that we can finally make Targon Weapons, the units are unable to be created.

I get that error when I try to create a unit. It goes ahead and creates a unit w/o Targon, that has 2 sets of Nuclear Defense Batteries. I've already mentioned this in the other thread.

At this time, TA is just a money pit. Wind Farms negative costs, to artificially improve country ledgers, is impractical to any one but me. As its impractical to shuttle in enough Turbines, and I'm the only one of us, that can build them in their country. And it is causing havoc with the FI on other worlds. Frankly, this makes you look incompetent.

I recently stood up for you, and I still meant what I said. But its not a one sided position. You folks have a list problems, that you seem unable, or unwilling to address. No business can operate the way you do. Its only a testament to the basic draw of how great this game could be, that keeps it going.

If legally possible. Please stop cash pay outs, and invest the money into the game. Higher programmers, and buy new servers, or what ever. I'd much rather invest my money into a long term game, that I will still be competing in, for the next ten years. Independly of that, your professionalism, and keeping your promises, should be taken more seriously at your company.

I hate to agree, but in large I agree with the frustration. Though I’m not on TA directly, I he sentiment is the same. The game concept is very sound, but for me the stealth game changes and lack of communication have been frustrating at best. Game changes aren’t documented in the game news section in game. If people try to read the update notes while in game they will still think TA and Wind power are future plans. Even the announced changes on the forum when they’re announced often gloss over the actual change while giving a lengthy explanation as to the intent of the change.

It is challenging to keep trying to progress forward especially on a specific path with unannounced changes happening any random time. The most recent being the WF corp production reduction. The update reduced production of these corps by 50% and never made it known until dismissively acknowledging it when brought up by a player.

My frustration isn’t as much on the bugs themselves, unforeseen things can happen like the current WF contract issue or the Targon units issue. The problem is the player base never really has any idea if or when those issues will be addressed, and often only finds out by accident when changes do happen. Most people are understanding and much more patient if they receive communication. Plenty of great players have been lost potentially forever because of the degree of communication put out by the game admins.
