Finance Index (Golden Rainbow)

My countries finance index dropped from 200 to 157 in one game month, nothing in the country changed during that month, or any other month for that matter. Profit is 3x cost in that country, and i cannot see a valid reaason for the plummeting FI, any ideas?

There is a help section which might get you a better response than posting in the general section. In other words, OTTGTFO.

Anyway, check the financial screen. Generally, finalcial index is linked to the profit a country makes. Are you sure nothing has changed?

Yes, im quite familiar with the finance pages, and yes other than a reduction in costs, nothing has changed that would result in a such reduction of the FI, the way it is calculated is 'supposed' to result in only small changes per game month, certainly NOT a 50 point drop. by my calcualtions my FI should be around 209 at the moment. I will email the GM's.

BTW, i can work out what OTTGTFO and there is no need to be rude, had i of wanted to post in the 'help' section, i would have done so, and you are exactly?

Tendo....Mine changes frequently without any input from me. I stopped trying to figure it out.

Has yours changed by such a dramatic amount before? Was aiming for the #1 Finance spot, kinda gutted me when i see it lol! It's sloooowly creeping its way back up.

I thought I was being funny, but I guess I over stepped the mark. It does seem to me that the topic isnt appropriate for this section. Perhaps, though, as a 'general' section anything is appropriate, even when there are sections explicitly designed to cater for such things.

Making posts that do not treat other players with the respect they deserve is bound to make some people not like you.

When posting i treat everyone from new players, to veterans with a great deal of respect, and i certainly expect the same in return.

Without the intention of sounding like an asshat myself, it is not for you to deem what topics are appropriate for this forum.

On the other hand, if everyone who has some problem, question, suggestion posted here, there would not be need for Help, Problem or Suggestion forum, would there?

Should it have been posted under war, trade, federations? no...ah, nationalities...no.

Should the question remain un-answered and the issue cause unjustified harm to his country, then it may well be justified to post in the 'problems' topic.

A week or so ago, Laguna was explaining to another player in chat about how the equation for FI changes when costs rise above 100B a month and this has a dramatic effect on the FI figure at the time of the change.

I don't recall much else about it, but it could be something along those lines...

You could have a point there perhaps Kiteless (Good to see you again btw). The Costs in the 'offending' country recently dropped below 100B, perhaps around the same time as the plummet in FI. I will try increasing costs to above 100B to see the effect.

Hey Tendo I had the exact same thing happen to me on LU... My main's fi was around 285 and dropped to 160 but still makes the exact same amount each month! I wasn't really shooting for any rank but it would have been cool to get fi of 300, some other time i guess.

I could tell you who I am and I could even prove how "kind" I am/was to new players, but "you" are not my "future" thats for sure.
