If anyone is using my galaxy console addon, please disable it immediately.

@Andy It's not a crawler, I'm sorry if it caused any issues with the server, everything is here: https://github.com/WalkingGlitch/Simcountry I didn't do anything that was against the rules as far as I can tell, nonetheless have stopped all use of the galaxy console as requested.

I sent a reply to your email this morning, and told everyone on Discord to stop using it. Please undo the IP bans once use has stopped. Unsthable is unable to log in right now.

Interesting. That actually looks quite helpful.

If Andy didn't suddenly have a problem with it. I hope he gets back with what's wrong and allows me to fix it.

We tracked the activity to a crawler that is obviously used in the process.

we did not stop or blocked any player.
The account of Unsthable was active, even this morning, with many clicks coming from the same set of IP numbers.

I wrote him about it 10 minutes ago and asked him to stop,

we might have blocked one IP too many.

If so, Mail me the IP number which is blocked and I will remove it from the banned IP list.

This activity, with hundreds of thousands clicks on the portal must however stop.
we now track it with an AI agent and it will block any IP that is doing it.

If you have any procedure in mind, that could be beneficial for players
and will produce usable information for players, we might allow data collection in some form.

Where did you send the mail to.
I did not see any mail.

Hi Andy,

Could you test the Galaxy Console script from https://github.com/WalkingGlitch/Simcountry I'm pretty sure that's what you were picking up. It's not supposed to be a crawler, and it shouldn't have been sending that many form submissions, it's supposed to lean on caching instead and only pick up the refresh updates from the server and (single) querying departing shuttles to track your transport requests. Sounds to me like the yet-to-be-removed debugging was still calling/using the initial bring-up debug code (that I used to figure out how it all works) for some reason. It was supposed to be off by default by the time I released it.

It has a much more roust and sophisticated space interface, and I think you'd really like it. It definitely takes the space game into the 21st century! The debugging features might also be incredibly useful for you as the game developer. Nothing would make me happier than to see it become the new Simcountry space browser. I licensed it with such a possibility in mind, so you can deploy it as your own with zero licensing concerns, considerations, or costs.

I will email you again. I responded to the simcountry.gamemaster@gmail.com and the simcountry.webmaster@gmail.com addresses, then later forwarded it to the gamemaster@simcountry.com address. I will reach out to Unsthable on discord and ask him to email you his IP as well, or have me forward it to you, either way.

As you requested, I have stopped it, and informed everyone not to use it until this is all figured out, abusing the server is the last thing I want to do, and I again apologize for any issues this caused. I should have done more OSI level 4-7 verification that it was behaving as intended.

Thanks for getting back to me. You have another email headed your way to gamemaster@simcountry.com

Alright we’re back in action. Has already been said privately, but worth saying publicly I don’t believe Glitch had any ill intent with the add on and I do believe it was just an error. Some of the QoL features could definitely be worth exploring fully integrating or working with him to see if the source of the problem with his script can be found.
