As the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Hurriya prepared to address his nation and nations around the world, he sighed at his futile attempts to ensure peace. With Kingdom's forces at his border waiting for King Czar's signal to attack, war seemed all but certain, as soon as War protection ended. There was no going back now, the two nations would be plunged into war due to Czar's belligerence.
Prime Minister Mahmood sat at his desk, the camera operator counting down from 10. And then it was time to stop thinking and start talking.
"Good evening to you all. On this solemn day, I have the unenviable task of informing you that the prospect of war grows ever more likely. As you sit here listening, the mad king Czar is finalising his war plans, and gleefully signing orders that will put the lives of thousands if not millions at grave peril. His audacity and recklessness knows no bounds. He wants only one thing - glory. This vile reprobate will stop at nothing to carve his name into the history books among the most despicable men that this world has had the misfortune of accommodating.
For all my efforts to secure a lasting peace for both our peoples, I have not once deluded myself into thinking that this mad man would listen. Our small nation, with its brief history, has never experienced the monstrosities of war. But if Czar thinks that he will roll through and drink the blood of our people like he did the blood of the Noktarians then he is sorely mistaken. For we are a brave people, a proud people, and we will not give up an inch of land in the face of tyranny and oppression. No. We have been planning for this very eventuality. I assure you that our tanks, fighters, bombers and soldiers, are ready and waiting for the coming beast; and we shall slay it with great satisfaction. If he is violent, we will be more violent still; if he cunning, we will outfox his generals and leave them stranded in our wake. Our people will never give up what we have worked so hard for.
I now make this plea to the leaders around the world listening to this broadcast. This savagery must be stopped. I welcome anyone who is a friend of peace and freedom, and an enemy of brutality, to come forth and join our humble cause. May we together rain down fire upon Czar's cities so that he is forced underground into the sewers like the rat he is.
The times ahead will not be easy, but we will persevere, and we will prevail. May God bless us all"
The red light of the camera flickered off. It was done.
