Tuesday, April 4, 2023 - 04:32 pm Hi, On the forum thread https://www.simcountry.com/discus/messages/1/29645.html?1680409427 I recently shared another very detailed experience with the current war engine when fighting from Land Based Arms. Many outcome results did not make much sense to me (again, details on that thread) and two very experienced warmonger players (+10 years each at least) mentioned (one in private, the other one left a post) that there is an old bug that:
This could easily explain many of the very odd attacking outcomes. Can you please check if attacking weapons when being fired from bases are indeed being treated with quality 120 despite being +300? Thank you, Regards

Thursday, April 13, 2023 - 03:49 pm I never heard this before. How did you come to this conclusion? I will ask the guy who wrote it if this is the case.

Thursday, April 13, 2023 - 08:33 pm About the quality 120: the standard quality of weapons sold on the market is 120. this is the minimum quality for all products. attacks from weapons in a base with such weapons is 120. Upgrading of weapons is done in the units. weapons in bases are not upgraded. but if weapons are bought at higher quality and are stored in the country with a higher quality than, when used from bases, they will have the average quality of the weapons when they were purchased.

Wednesday, May 3, 2023 - 11:05 pm So weapons fired from an offensive base are 120Q. It does not matter what the quality of the weapons were when purchased. So when I buy a Land base cruise bat and missile at Q330 that can only be fired from a base the quality has no effect on the outcome of the attack. If this is the case it needs to be addressed. I'm going through my head and counting the hundreds of trillions I have wasted throughout my game time here. I'm not asking to be reimbursed. However I would like to see you include LBC bats and missiles into an offensive unit or at least Mobile unit that can be upgraded to high quality. I'm not sure about your last comment. I never buy low quality weapons except for an emergency order for a factory low on supplies. When you guys have the time can you make sure that it is an average of all weapons stored at the base. My past exp tells me it is not, but I'm not a math guy. I will rely on you. Rob The Brain Fearless blue

Thursday, May 4, 2023 - 05:51 am Make simple test and you will see yourself, try attacking c3 or any other country with some 330Q batteries from base and then with the same ammount from unit. Anybody who is not lazy can post results here. This is why i have some 400K conventional bathts at 120q. Dont overspend.

Thursday, May 4, 2023 - 09:28 am Hey there, From what I gathered based on Andy's comment, it seems like we should be able to use both LBMB and CMB with, let's say, a 300-quality weapon, provided that all LBMB/CMB weapons are also of 300-quality. That's my understanding of how it's supposed to work. Mdnz, I do trust your insights, but I must admit that I've been feeling somewhat disheartened lately. I've spent a considerable amount of time providing Andy with detailed examples and bug reports, but it seems that there's been little to no commitment on his part to address these issues. Moreover, the lack of responses in many instances has been disappointing. As a result, I find myself less inclined to continue investing time and effort into testing and sharing examples here. I truly hope that Andy takes our concerns into consideration and works towards improving the game experience for all players. Best, Nicolas

Thursday, May 4, 2023 - 04:23 pm This is why i say "if not lazy" because admin has all needed to check this, but over the years it was more simple to provide general answers. This is not a big problem on the other hand, so not worth adding more fuel to the fire here..
