Flatschi | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 01:30 pm I spent about 7000 AA batteries and 11000 Mid Range Batteries on the enemy troops (C3s) but although my battle level was 0, I still could not win the war. In White Giant Una Co |
Gaz | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 06:38 pm Sound like the c3's helis done a number on you. That's the only way I can see you taking such losses at wl 1. |
E O | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 07:18 pm What quality weapons and ammo where you using? |
Flatschi | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 07:45 pm All 330 quality some 300 but not under stil C3s has %37 war index that is imposibble in war level 0. I started with aa 33000 missiles and still that bot has interceptor lol |
E O | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 10:47 pm What weapons did you put in your units? Do you mind posting the link to your country in chat? I can try looking in your newspaper to see if I can learn more. |
Gaz | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:20 pm He posted it EO. Una Co on WG. I had a look. You did take out the helis but not very efficiently. You where attacking ground targets which had garrison defence, a city. This is wrong and why you took such large losses in first few attacks. Attack the defence of an undefended target to kill the air defence. Counties and towns have no garrisons defence. When you attack those only the helicopters will come to the defence of the c3. Attacking cities the garrisons and helis defend in unison, combined this is really strong. You need to isolate. Read the guides on the forum. I know they aren't up to date exactly but this is the basics and I know it's in there already. PM me though if you want me to walk you through it step by step. I'll be online a lot this week. Oh and stop using OAAMB's to attack targets. These weapons are only effective against aircraft. Stick at it you'll figure it out eventually |
E O | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:39 pm Ahh missed that. Some good coaching there Gaz. Flatschi - the reason you want to attack undefended targets like Gaz said is to get a better ratio of kills/losses with your units. If you fight 1 air wing AND 1 garrison, you have 2 groups of enemy units returning fire at you. The goal is to isolate them as much as possible, and only fight 1 unit at a time if you can. Doing this will help you take fewer losses per shot. Air wings will always respond if they can to your attacks, so you probably will want to destroy air defenses before moving onto garrisons and targets. I'd recommend trying units something like this (try different layouts yourself and see what works best!): Anti air: Long range divisions with 100 mid range missile batts (these act as a partial shield, they're more durable than anti air batts), and the rest offensive anti air batts. Attack defenses of town/county until no more helis respond. THEN target and destroy the heli wings. This will prevent them from being restocked with more weapons by supply units. Anti-garrison: Long range divisions with ALL mid range missle batts. ONCE you've cleared all helicopter defense, attack the defenses of the garrisons you want to clear with these units. These units also work fine to destroy targets. Anti-target: Long range divisions with heavy tanks/heavy artillery. CHEAP units to build and use - and are effective at destroying targets. Use these to save costs on mid range missiles. |
Gaz | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:46 pm Now I'm needing schooled Those 100 MRB's in the LRD??? Do I have to fire them to get the helis to target them first? Or just being there is enough?? Hope you know what i mean. |
E O | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:50 pm I fire them all - if there's nothing to shoot at, you don't lose ammo (IE you won't be using mid range missiles if you're fighting just helis). There is a sort of "order of what gets shot at first." Mid range missile batts will get shot until they're gone BEFORE any anti air batts get shot. To be clear, you'll lose the mrmb, you just will have more anti air batts left. |
Gaz | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:56 pm I remember now actually, Thx. I'll have a little play around with that later. |
