hodgpodg5490 | Tuesday, December 31, 2019 - 01:46 pm Hello, I am having huge swings in available workers. I had over 200,000 unemployed nurses one month then the next 0. I did not build any new hospitals. This happened in several other categories as well. A few days ago I went from a couple hundred thousand unemployed low level workers to a couple million in one game month. Is there something I can do to help prevent these crazy swings or is this a glitch? |

hodgpodg5490 | Tuesday, December 31, 2019 - 09:20 pm Just had another 4,000,000 spike in low level workers. |
Andy | Sunday, January 5, 2020 - 02:08 pm Wow. these are very large movements. I will check why. In general, when LLWs are short, there will be movements. the shortage must be serious and movements should be "reasonable". I will check. there are more people complaining about it. |
Lord Mndz | Sunday, January 5, 2020 - 04:01 pm Andy, as per below picture, this problems causes schools, hospitals to be closed and also reduces employment in the countries. Game level 4 has no effect to stop this procedure.

Sam | Monday, January 6, 2020 - 01:25 pm The weirdest part is it didn't start happening until one of the most recent updates. |
Daniel Iceling | Tuesday, January 7, 2020 - 07:36 am Sam, Agreed, the system never used to demote people on this scale. I've found it doesn't trigger, if I make sure Low Level worker unemployment doesn't drop below 1,000,000, even for a single month, and total unemployment doesn't drop below 3,000,000. Something has clearly changed to make this system far more sensitive, and far more powerful, than it needs to be. A single month trigger of the demotions, hospitals close, and High Tech Engineers plunge into shortage. Signed President of DanNation on LU |
Andy | Sunday, January 12, 2020 - 04:53 pm This is very unusual and must have been preceded by a sudden shortage in LLWs. It is also probably a very high population country. Even then, the numbers are large. I will check our logs to find out. |
Andy | Sunday, January 12, 2020 - 05:02 pm We have recently improved the management of c3 countries, making sure they have the workers they need when starting a new corporation and improved the checks on the population limits. This most probably switched on a function that tries to prevent shortages of LLWs. This used to be a big problem in the past. These shifts seem to turn into a tsunami in isolated cases. I now already checked and reduced max shifts to prevent it. |
johnV | Tuesday, January 14, 2020 - 12:08 pm Andy, This is still happening on WG, the graphs are similar to those above. Country Meliora on WG went from 100K to 1.4M LLW workers in two months wiping out all the teachers and hospital staff. |
Andy | Wednesday, January 22, 2020 - 10:02 am JohnV, Did you see more of this recently? We see the C3 countries in much better balance now, many other countries too. I do not see many interventions. The amplitude of these interventions is diminished. Also, the "support" functions for players under game level 4 have been recheck and even there, number have been reduced (coming update). However, There are "interventions" that are remaining. If a country has huge numbers of unemployed in one group, and shortages in others, you should expect people to move around. This happens in the real world and should happen here too. |
johnV | Wednesday, January 22, 2020 - 12:30 pm Andy, it happened about 3 days ago, since then I've been moving people around keeping unemployed LLW above 300K I did have a shortage of some workers. What is troubling is the double tap. Unemployed LLW's went from 60K to 660K one month which should have been sufficient but then the following month increased by another million. That's when I lost 600 schools and 40 hospitals. My unemployment rate is under 4% with 46 million workers. If the game would have reduced my employment by a couple of percent that would have freed up a million workers and not destroyed schools and hospitals. I seem to remember someone posting that if you have gov salaries higher than corps that will happen. I'll give it a try. |
Jiggle Billy | Friday, January 24, 2020 - 04:08 pm Andy, you may have got it, my main nation got very low on LLW for a couple months and no automated system triggered. It was excellent, I was easily able to manage it with manual transfers, and very happy auto transfers of far excessive volumes didn't trigger. |
Jiggle Billy | Sunday, January 26, 2020 - 03:42 pm I'm wrong, just happened in the third kingdom of hodg again. |
