John Galt | Wednesday, October 23, 2019 - 03:25 pm It happens for all new countries. Premium players included. After a few game years that restriction goes away. |
Andy | Saturday, October 26, 2019 - 12:51 pm One restriction remains. You cannot close more than 4 corporations. four corporations closed means 500.000 to 1.000.000 million workers get fired at the same time. This is quite unrealistic and has a major impact on the country's economy. so max 4 is a lot. |
Andy | Friday, November 1, 2019 - 03:09 pm It used to be easy for any person, to open an account for free and start closing corporations. then close it, open another one etc. We limited this capability to preserve more logic in the game and not allow people to destroy many corporations and create shortages. but why are we talking about closing corporations? this is a feature that should not be used, or used in exceptional situations. |
Daniel Iceling | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 03:07 pm Andy, I agree with the safeguards put in place. Although there are plenty of reasons Players choose to close Corporations... 1) You don't have enough workers to staff all your corporations. This has been very common recently, due to declining birth rates, and increasing Corporation sizes. 2) You want to make workers available to open a new Mining Corporation. 3) You are making room for a CEO controlled Corporation. 4) You are moving workers to new government jobs in Healthcare, the Military, or Education. 5) You are moving workers to a different country in your empire. 6) Your economy is overly reliant on a single product, or product type. 7) The products it consumes are in short supply. Causing it to cease production. 8) The product it produces has unstable demand. 9) The product it produces is suffering a severe long term oversupply. Signed President of DanNation on LU |
Andy | Saturday, November 9, 2019 - 11:24 am Daniel, I agree with most of this but: many of the issues are full member issues and they can close corporations. The problem of misuse was very severe in the past and opening it again is a high risk. there are much better options for free members. |
