The lack of selenium in KB has lead to a lack of glass. Is this a game problem or caused by players holding back selenium? |

Actually, I think you might have to buy selenium on world trade or space station. I don't remember. Anyway, you're just forbidden to make corps that produce Selenium on KB. It's not allowed for anyone. |

There is no selenium on the market of KB so no idea how you are supposed to get any. |

What you do is:
1. Buy Selenium on a world that it is traded, such as WG.
2. Transport the Selenium via spacecraft to a world where it is not traded, such as KB.
3. Sell Selenium into market or to your corporations.
4. Profit.
I do not have a presence on KB so I cannot resolve that shortage for you. I sell Selenium from time to time on FB market. I'd do it more frequently but I often find myself busy managing other things. I will probably increase my Selenium transports as time goes on because it momentarily makes me feel like a nice guy to resolve a world market shortage. As I said however, I cannot help KB until I establish a presence there, which I have not yet decided to commit to. I will probably eventually get around to plopping a presence down there someday, and then your Selenium shortages will sometimes be resolved.
It really makes no sense to me, though. Isn't glass made from sand (aka Silicon)? Is Selenium a mistranslation? Is there no sand on some worlds? It is what it is, so whatever. . . |

Selenium is used to make red colored glass. About half of the world's production of selenium is used for this.
The pitiful think is that selenium is more abundant than silver, gold or uranium. The GMs just decided to make it rare. |

Only reason I came in was I misread the header. I thought that read "Class."
One other option to acquiring Selenium. Take over countries that have glass or Electronic Components corporations. (leave those standing and destroy the others.) You will have some marked up costs in destroying more pop etc. At takeover, buy the product from the corps in question. Shut down the corp, you'll get the cash back the following month. (Max of 3 a month per country. If you get lucky and find more in a single country, may want to hold for an additional month.)
