So for a while I appear to have no spending space which I guess may be my country ordering rubbish i didnt want and not ordering coffee that i needed.
Anyway enough of that complaining.
A BIG blue notice appears saying this:
Shortage of Coffee! Spending Space is ignored if you order Immediate.
So I click order immediate.
Sorry, your spending limit been reached for this month.
The remaining credit for this month is 0 SC$.
You cannot buy another ton.
Spending limit is ignored if you order immediate to solve a shortage.
Now I have over 12 trillion in the bank so thats not the problem.

Ok so I have no spending space!!!!
My country is going down the pan, I can't order anything, automation for purchases is turned off.
Something is severely wrong here.
Just checked my countrys purchases and it totals only 26 million in non local contracts.
I have cancelled all contracts with all parties just to see if that helps and find out if thats a problem too. |

Contracts can eat all the spending space.
we do not have any problem with spending space for a very long time.
Please let us know one or two game months after the contracts are cancelled.
also, check the cash log.
you can see where the money is going. |

Ok I realised I had a whole bunch of country contracts I hadn't cancelled. Now to wait for the following months.
Still immediate orders are not effective though. |

Nothing wrong there.
you need to check you cash log and send us details showing that nothing is spent.
Your contracts are probably eating your spending space. |

The problem with being part of a common market and signing contracts for everything I think.
However, now I am not contracting much at all, I think I may just keep everything uncontracted. |

I think that we should update the use of the spending space in common market contracts. Automatic purchases are not counted, common market contracts do.
We will discuss here. Maybe we need to reduce the weight on the spending space. |

Maybe, it really hit my country when it just vanished for months on end without realising it was common market contracts.
As you say, auto purchases are not counted but its effectively doing the same thing.
Perhaps the common market could use a different spending space altogether completely separate from the countries own regular trading spending space?
Also perhaps offsetting spending with outgoing contracts to increase spending space available in the common market? |

We think that in general, the spending space, including contracts is sufficient.
The price of many products declined in the past period while the spending space declined by much less.
A very large spending space will allow for more damaging actions in the markets.
we have seen this in the past.
the system works just fine, except for cases where common market contracts are significant.
we do not want the common market to become a problem so it makes sense to reduce the weight of these contracts on the spending space.
don't expect this tomorrow and don't expect a major shift.
we will just try to help a bit with this specific limitation. |

Question for the GM, why does the spending space disappear due to contracts with corps in your own country? I created the Corps to supply my country but I am unable to buy supplies now since a few game months ago my spending space disappeared and because of shortages my population is decreasing due to migration since I can't keep up with immediate ordering to have needed supplies. I have trimmed all contracts to bare minimums I need to keep to keep my corps supplies at max but still have a negative 630B spending space. How come buying from my own corps counts against my spending space? |
