The game always change. Sometimes not for the better they're is lots of stuff that made the game fun. They're is one thing I think they should change though. They should not penalize you for having too many countries. One reason I bought a membership is so I could build a large empire. The membership sign up page says you can have over two countries it does not say anything about penalties. Its not like the worlds are even full anyway most are almost empty space is not an issue. It would be stupid if they took money out of C3 countries. I don't know if I would play the game anymore but my membership is good till October.

Nothing changed here and no such penalty.

having many countries in the empire is more difficult and it should be.

The cost of government is higher and you need to do more to manage these countries.

also, moving up the levels, you need to make sure the average of the indexes in all the countries in the empire is at the required level.

There is no intention to make the game trivial.

Andy trivial, can you define this elusive word you use, please? this is only what do you mean and not sent as an offense.

@Katman, yes i understand you would like the GM to stop making some changes, which are small usually. they correct within a day and most are at least becoming ideas of the past 3 years by other players. it gets hard to keep up and its ok, you can do it. I think your mistaken GM changes as MARKET CHANGES and other game functions that are at the core of the game. you need to rethink your strategy and grow with the game not out grow your limits. Now an empire extra does cost you 30g/c but its to play the extra. of course all in all do you expect it to all come free? Support the game, learn it, and help the community make it better. your a paid member set up game votes if you want some changes you think is best.

what planet are you on? I might be able to help you.

ANDY, again, I just wish us to know what your definition of trivial is, so I don't waste time of ideas that are to your definition of trivial. Of course I think we have disagreed based of this one word, in the past. even if your response is private, IDC, I just don't want to bring up these trivial things. I don't think we want to add trivial things (if we use the same def), but some ease lost is not good, as well as unhealthy limits and duplication of cost, which can be trivial, is not good for the newer players.
I'd like to see more advanced war levels past WL12 and game levels, vs us make a level harder.... expand vs change the concept of the core of the levels as they exist now. To me I'd call it trivial, not to be offensive again, my tone is of understanding and discussion towards a better game that has more challenge to it while maintaining a healthy system that allows new player to be attracted and given good grace to learn this complex game.
Please don't delete me for thought this is an attack against the GM or the game, i'd thought a healthy discussion is in order is it not? Most think you guys work hard, just get impatient at times, I hope this will help us gain a great understand Andy and my best regards to you and all who work hard to make this the best country simulation around.

I am sure Andy did not mean offense. I believe he was addressing Katman talking about the reduction in cash awards from taking C3s. In the past, raiding income made it possible to avoid addressing about any other aspect of the game. I could spend 10 minutes raiding and earn more money than a week of meticulously managing my country. It was easy to conclude that I might as well not manage my country and spend a week of raiding.

Unemployment costing billions? so what?
Build hospitals and schools? why?
Manage corps to perfection? pffft

You could say it made the game, um, trivial.

This is all part of the unintended consequence of war levels. With the option of raiding inactive presidents to get rich quicker now gone. C3's took there place. Now that's under review it seems.

LOL ARIES! :) +1

No offense was taken, Oh this word just hits me, its been used against many of us and towards some good ideas to help players. I just have to know what they think trivial is. Sorta where does the GM see the line as crossed into trivial....
I guess your point is: they try not to make the game trivial, but do without realizing it?

Hey aries, does boosters make the game trivial too? what do you say? lol

In my opinion, the boosters are pretty reasonable actually. Only one I have somewhat of a problem with is the magic war protection. If it were curbed to more of a limited use for vacations and time away from the game, it would be better.

My suggestion about it not working when you initiate a war on another player goes here. I would also be for it being a more limited use, like a country can be protected by it for a maximum of 8 weeks a year or some such. I think this feature encourages passive and disengaged playing. Players should actually provide defense for their country and maybe even engage in foreign relations/talk with other players and have survival as a reason to do so.

Want to be a hermit? Stay under war level 3 or keep your goodies in your secured mode main. Isn't this enough? You could say it makes the war game Tri... ah, you get it.
