Crafty | Tuesday, February 19, 2013 - 05:51 pm 'Why do it' on FB has had its auto buy products your country needs turned off for some months now. It would appear that it is still buying these products though. In fact it bought 2.5T worth just this month. Is this correct? |
Teddy Bear | Friday, February 22, 2013 - 07:30 pm I had the same thing happen. Mine was military ammo. ended up I have to sell all my stock of weapons |
Andy | Friday, February 22, 2013 - 08:44 pm The numbers for purchasing of ammunition and weapons, or other materials are year to date, not this month. I don't think the system will purchase 2.5T in a single month unless you have a huge army or many units went negative. Hard to imagine. If you wish to stop all buying, you need to sell all the weapons. weapons do use ammo on monthly bases and ammo is ordered from time to time. The best way indeed to stop purchasing is to remove the entire army. I will check the docs to see what exactly is said about it. when products go negative, orders should be placed. there is no such thing as negative products and your population keeps eating all the time. |
PhilinCt | Saturday, February 23, 2013 - 01:26 pm With a negative for things people need, bread, vegetables, shoes etc..shouldn't the population leave until the negative is erased, like weapons should fall if no ammo, instead of auto buying hen set to "no"? Maybe to much code but just a thought. |
Crafty | Saturday, February 23, 2013 - 04:02 pm My purchases were not military Andy. Automatically buy products your country needs means just that doesn't it? If my country needs products, the game will order them. If I turn this option off then it shouldn't automatically buy products my country needs. Else the option is completely functionless and should be removed. The penalty for having insufficient supplies was introduced recently in the form of the supply index. Should my country not have enough supplies because I haven't ordered them then the supply index will drop and so, purportedly, lower the welfare index. In summary then, make these things work as they should or remove them. Turning off auto buying doesnt work. Therefore I am unlikely to experience shortages in country supplies unless I have insufficient cash, therefore I am unlikely to see the supply index fall and further, unlikely to see my welfare fall. (A note on that last, even a zero supply index doesn't drop welfare currently). Could we please have these things functioning as intended, thank you very much, Crafty. |
Andy | Saturday, February 23, 2013 - 09:32 pm well, I will find out what the conditions are but the alternative is of course, to let the population die or leave. if you set it to manual orders, and the supplies get negative, 1% could just disappear each month. Units without ammo, can disappear too. maybe we should have a vote on it. |
Crafty | Saturday, February 23, 2013 - 11:02 pm I vote to have the options and influence of the supply index work. Andy, if you look at your users manual you will find there is a 'rebellion' function. If the countries population get upset enough by no bread available, then they would rebel. The drop in the welfare index should cause this to happen. It did in the past, why doesn't it now? I have a reason for not having this country buy automatically. With military I could agree, it would disappear (the result of rusting away I suppose). Thanks for checking on it. Crafty. |
