Hi,

Along the last game year in KB all my four countries (3 slaves) experienced an important increase in costs for Education, Health, Social Security, Transportation, General Costs and even Defense Costs.

For instance, in one of them, Education costs increased from 1.8 B to 2.4 B from August of 3252 to August of 3253 (current year).

Before that, all my countries had a positive balance, in fact two of them were giving a good profit every month. Nevertheless now they are all making losses every month!

I don't see any notes on that on the news for the game. Anyone else has noticed that?

Could anyone let me know what is going on, please?

Thanks!

One thing you could check is the govt salaries. If you have them set to follow the economy automatically then they could have risen to cause that increase. It could also be a consumable like services or something that has risen sharply in price, this may be more likely for transport as I dont think that requires staff and salaries.

Anyways you will more than likely see the costs fall again soon, they do bounce around a fair bit. The damping within the game algorithms isn't too subtle.

Thanks, Crafty,
Costs are still about 50% over what they were before, as of now 2 game years have already passed.
It doesn't look like one single good / service on the market (or even a few of them) would cause the exact same increase curve in the exact same period for so distinct categories as Education and Transportation.
The gvt salaries are set manually and I did not change it in the period as well.

And my cash is still flushing away...

Govt. costs do rise with having more countries, thats what makes it very hard to have more than 10 countries in one empire.

But as for the individual departmental costs, I cant say I have noticed those going up with more countries. Frankly, I'm at a loss with the information given. The obvious things to consider are did your game level increase to coincide? did you build more infrastructure? I dunno, but I would hunt for some other thing that changed about the same time to see if that helps track it down.
