RagingPencil (White Giant) | Monday, December 26, 2011 - 01:20 am A number of my corps have 2 pending quality upgrades since 2864 (2891 currently) and remain at 100 process quality. Surely this can't be based on shortages of upgrades right? Anyone else have this problem? |
CorporatePartner (White Giant) | Monday, December 26, 2011 - 01:32 am Agree. It has happened here also. Others have discussed this or similar issues before as well. One hypo-thesis is that some corporations get "stuck", and you need to try and change settings to get them to respond. Sometimes, certain corporations have been said to "just be glitched", and they are basically "broken". Try using some upgrade boosters and that may help, or at least that could get it boosted for a while until you can try some other things. |
RagingPencil (White Giant) | Monday, December 26, 2011 - 01:52 am Thanks CP. I'll continue to fiddle with settings and see if GM wants to help. |
Crafty (Fearless Blue) | Monday, December 26, 2011 - 06:57 pm I fixed this problem once by cancelling the orders from corporations > manage > cancel material orders. Then I used the corps > manage > upgrade corps page to re order the max using 'order now'. Dunno, probably just as CP said, they get stuck and you have to jog the programming a bit. There is something going on with the upgrades that I dont understand though, prolly me being dumb, but with a very large shortage on the market, my corps making them dont sell for ages until the asking price has dropped enough (with trade strategy) to make the upgrade making corps hardly viable. |
Psycho_Honey (Golden Rainbow) | Wednesday, December 28, 2011 - 02:40 pm CC you have described something similar to what is happening with my nuclear power corps. They haven't always acted like this. |
Crafty | Wednesday, December 28, 2011 - 04:42 pm I dunno, the market model seems to be going crazy. Like SSRCP pointed out, ONE component of a shuttle costs over twice what you can sell the shuttle for...I like the free market that has been introduced a bit, lessening of the supply fairy and GM only buying product when there is a risk of the whole market collapsing, but maybe the base prices which are set, not moving, are becoming out of touch with the market, seeing how much the market has changed in the last year. |
RagingPencil (White Giant) | Thursday, December 29, 2011 - 03:32 am These 'pending' upgrades aren't even found in 'cancel material orders' Waiting GM to fix for me |
