Link Gaetz (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, November 17, 2011 - 04:44 pm Why am I still getting this message in the automation report even after turning off all of the related automation features? The only ones I still have left on are transportation and ammo purchasing. I keep seeing random drops in the numbers of trained professionals, especially high tech personnel. |
Crafty (Kebir Blue) | Thursday, November 17, 2011 - 06:12 pm All my countries (25 of them) say that every month Link. I have all auto turned of and am level 12 in some, with education indexes of 180. Ignore it. |
Link Gaetz (Little Upsilon) | Friday, November 18, 2011 - 01:32 am Is it not actually doing anything, though? I don't understand why there are sudden spikes in worker numbers. Are a bunch of old workers dying off en masse or something? Most months the changes in worker numbers are relatively smooth. |
Crafty (Kebir Blue) | Friday, November 18, 2011 - 04:52 pm I think it does adjust some things. You'll notice it tries to keep you in HLW at about 30 - 50K. Nurses and teachers will rise then suddenly drop in one month. Obviously some people retire or die, new are born, each profession has its own age range so some get promoted and so on. If you set your education priorities right then I reckon you can pretty much rely on it. |
Link Gaetz (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, November 19, 2011 - 01:39 am I did notice I almost always have way too many high level workers. That's not a huge problem but it seems like the're coming at the expense of high tech professions, which is no good at all. |
Link Gaetz (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, November 19, 2011 - 07:15 pm Once again the past two months I suddenly lost 400 HT executives, 7000 seniors and 15000 engineers after having painfully slow but at least steady growth over the past few months. Instead I now have way too many low level workers. Having educated professionals disappear for no apparent or transparent reason is really not a good incentive for getting people to become paid members. |
Crafty (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, November 19, 2011 - 08:42 pm Whats your Education index Link? And can you post your country name. |
Link Gaetz (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, November 19, 2011 - 10:42 pm My education indices are ~110 each in West and East Gaetzland. I can understand why I only slowly acquire high tech personnel but it would be nice to know why the numbers steadily increase for 10 months then suddenl drop. Are they old workers retiring or dying? |
Crafty (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, November 20, 2011 - 04:19 pm I'm getting unsure of an accurate explanation for you now. First off, I would raise my education indexes higher. Go for 140 for the time being. The system seems to want to act to keep your distribution of workers in what it thinks is a balanced state. With a higher ED index, you should get a higher number of hi-tech employess before they go and find jobs elsewhare (as ordinary workers or managers). Instead of leaving them at the levels before they move to other professions, get them working by building another corp. I think you'll find their numbers will see-saw like that naturally anyway. There's not too many straight lines on this game Hope I've managed to help a bit. |
