CorporatePartner | Thursday, March 17, 2011 - 09:51 pm The Gold Coin log and its calculations are bugged. There have been several erroneous calculations, noted with a red triangle (!) next to them. A few were doing the math backwards and restored the Gold Coins. Two others, at least, completely did the math backwards, and ended up losing about 50 Gold Coins. The exact Gold Coin log was sent to "Gamemaster" at gamemaster@simcountry.com. It would be prudent to carefully review the Gold Coin log to check for errors. These errors have all occurred within the past [earth] week, and are continuing until now. |

Tom Willard | Thursday, March 24, 2011 - 11:36 pm I will have it checked Friday morning. we had these in the past because of transactions taking place within one minute. now we have an exact time stamp and the errors disappeared (months ago). |
RoboCop | Friday, March 25, 2011 - 10:40 am Hi CorporatePartner, I did the math for all your transactions in the database and your balance is fine (please read your mail). The red triangle is caused by the fact that two transactions are displayed in the wrong order. I fixed that. |
CorporatePartner (Fearless Blue) | Friday, March 25, 2011 - 12:50 pm Thank you for checking and fixing whatever errors were there. |
CorporatePartner (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, March 30, 2011 - 02:36 am The posted "Game News" is misleading when it says "Gold Coins were never lost". If the Gold Coins were "temporarily lost" or "erroneously logged" they were still "lost" from the "client-side" even if before being noticed and fixed from the "server-side". Also, "reversing transactions" was not the "only error". The Gold Coin log also failed basic arithmetic, and randomly changed Gold Coin totals from the end of one line to the start of the next. Those are serious errors and were occurring many times. On the other hand, "Gamemaster" did review the email sent, said that the complete Gold Coin log was checked and the errors resolved, so the overall net total was Ok. Thank you for taking the time to do that and respond with an email as well. |
