Webmaster for SimCountry,

Please urgently review the forum topic "Problems" > "Stalkers and cops"

Other sites have moderators and administrators online with the ability to temporarily ban users, permanently ban users, and block IP addresses. There is one "stalker" currently who is harassing, sexually explitive, deceptive, and is utilizing the free and easy access of the website to create many aliases (different user accounts) at will to continue "hiding". There also have been observed some likely "cops", perhaps attempting to trap some of these "stalkers". In any case the lack of any moderator presence in the live chat, combined with no administrators, make the continued membership of this site questionable.

In fact, the live chat is a very resourceful tool for users to interact, and it apparently has the potential functionality to provide "ban", "kick", "mute", etc., yet, none of these nor other functions operate currently, giving an error/disallowed message.

Some users have commented on the "bugs" in the technical game operations, and many have been identified by this user, however, the much greater point, of much more significance, is to provide some moderation or oversight over the site and the live chat, in particular.

Why are the names and contacts for the owners, managers, administrators, and moderators not clearly and obviously displayed on the site?

NOTICE GIVEN: A request to fully disclose the list of names and contacts of these individuals, including the owners, operators, managers and staff, administrators and moderators of , as of the date of this notice, is hereby officially requested, in writing, with the expectation to receive in reasonable due course via the same means requested, namely this email account, as listed in the "From:", and recopied in the signature portion of this correspondence. Additionally, this official notice will be copied and posted in the forums, under the "Problems" section, title: "NOTICE GIVEN".

sorry inanna but this is a serious problem. i believe that volunteer ingame moderators should be introduced to allow the webmasters to focus on improving the gameplay rather than the players

I have already volunteered.

There is a chat mod.

Why does anyone have to be babysat. I do agree that there is a problem, but you as players carry a weight of responsibility. Who is to say that talkin crap in chat is not a valid form of finding enemies. That seems to be the aim of the individuals in question. Why not grant their wish instead of spamming the GM's who have heard it from voices they actually give ear to, and have real things to address in the game.

I have been told many times this is a community. If someone in chat bothers you, kick their arses. If you can't, find others who feel the way you do, and kick it together. It makes for a more interesting game. Censorship is negative when people pay money like you do to abuse the chat. Community Watch is a more viable solution. Chat is empty as it is, at least these people stir up the pot when they come in. I sit in chat and stare at the few vets who hang out. The silence is amazing.

Please provide the staff list. A list was asked for about 1 [Earth] year ago via forum and email to "gamemaster@simcountry.com" and no response. Is someone hiding something? It sure seems so.

You don't even have a title listed, "Laguna". Who are you?
