Joe3811 (Golden Rainbow) | Thursday, September 24, 2009 - 04:37 pm Trying to manage strategies using the mass change method (the Corp/Manage/Strategy screen should be very helpful. After repeated attempts I noticed that when I try to change some corps at the top of the scroll, the system increments some corps in the area of the scroll I didn't change. Then I get an error message that the Strategy index must be between two particular numbers and no change is implemented. I make it a practice that when I change an index I keep it 5 points below the max, but the system goes ahead and increments strategy for corps I didn't change. |
CraftyCockney (Fearless Blue) | Friday, September 25, 2009 - 03:05 am Joe, there are two buttons you can click after setting new strategies, the one at the bottom of the list of corps and the one in the 'set for all corporations, strategy form' box. Could it be you have in-valid figures entered in the last box and are clicking that button rather than the first? Top button for individual corp strats, bottom for one size fits all. Hope that helps. Crafty. |
Joe3811 (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, September 29, 2009 - 07:28 am I checked to see if I'd done that. I did recognize that the lower section was for all corps, and clicked on the upper one. I tried again to use this screen to set strategy for four newly acquired corps, and when I entered desired setting for those four, clicked on the button in the individual corp sections, I got a list of errors for corps that had not changed. It definitely appears there's a "bug" here. Too bad, this screen should be a real time saver for CEO's or presidents with lotsa corps. |
Noproblem (Fearless Blue) | Wednesday, October 14, 2009 - 04:09 am If you are a new player, you have to use best price on both buy and sell orders. The strategy page won't make changes until you are past the trial period. |
