I found this one out after I conquered a C3, started to acquire defensive weapons for it, and started to deploy the garrisons. I wanted to modify the Small Garrison Blueprint to add an additional Nuclear Defense Battery.

Unfortunately, the minimum number of weapons to modify such garrison is 1000. Obviously it takes a bit of time to build up a newly conquered C3 enough to deploy that size of a garrison to every target that would need Nuclear Defense Batteries.

This is hardly "1 jeep unit" abuse. All I wanted to do was add one NDB and the associated missiles to an already-existing, default blueprint.

I request that the minimums for default units be set to the standard number of units for that blueprint, rather than half the maximum size, so it becomes possible to modify the "tiny garrison" and "small garrison" blueprints without having to double (or in case of tiny garrison, multiply by eight) their footprint.

I don't know if you heard Jozi's answer to this at the last chat. Basically, he explained that the minimum number for the military units is the same as for the garrisons. I guess they can't easily separate the code for the two. He said they would look into it this past week, but since it hasn't changed, I'm not going to get my hopes up.

No, I wasn't at the chat (double whammy of not having IRC *and* having RL obligations at time of chat), and I haven't seen a log of it, either. It is good to know it was discussed, however.

An easier way to change it might be to set the minimum to one-quarter, rather than one-half. Even one-quarter of the maximum unit size would suffice to eliminate one-jeep-unit spam, and if units and garrisons cannot be separated, it would solve this problem as well.

Why not give us some standard garrisons to choose from? Tiny (125), small (250), medium (500), large (1000) would be a good place to start. All of the other types of units have built in blue prints. Why not garrisons?

When I go to "deploy garrisons" and click on a location, we'll use the Capital as an example, I have three default options.
1) Undefended
2) Small Garrison (501)
3) Tiny Garrison (126)

You don't have these options?

Got it. I was looking at the the Garrison blue print setup and it had nothing listed like my other countries do so I didn't bother looking on the deploy page since I didn't think I had any to deploy.

Adjust the % deployed on the deploy garrisons page. Set up a blueprint for 2000 units. Then use 6% for 120 units, 12% for 240 units, 25% for 500 units and 50% for 1000 units.

If you want 2 nuclear defense batteries and 100 units you need to have the blueprint set at 40 nuclear defense batteries so that you can use a 5% setting but still have exactly 2 NDBs.

I started a thread on the help page bout this. Dint see this thread till now. Thanks for the numbers there PS will help for now but I think garrisons shouldnt have to be worked out in %. Just complicates things. I suck with percentages. I seen there's some tech issues in sorting this but please do GM? Thanks
