nathan | Friday, August 30, 2024 - 08:43 pm Just a small idea to give the security council more stuff to do. if a world is having a massive shortage of product X, maybe the security council could use a significant amount of its cash to provide a global productivity bonus to all corps producing X in the world, or something to that effect. example: on white giant, there is a huge shortage of wind turbines. Causing widespread shortages across the world, the nations call on the security council to subsidize the production of wind turbines. All wind turbine corps for the next X months, receive a productivity bonus to hopefully help and reduce the wind turbine shortage in a shorter amount of time. the security council would pay a hefty sum of cash to achieve this, maybe scaled to the amount of corps the subsidy would impact. After the time has passed, the corps would go back to their regular production levels, and the security council could either chose to renew the subsidies, subsidize something else, or maybe nothing at all. Another balancing point would the price dropping for the subsidized goods, which could in the long term, cause issues for the profit potential of those corps. thats my two cents. cheers |
James Folsom | Friday, August 30, 2024 - 11:18 pm I like this, which mean Andy hates it. |
Andy | Saturday, August 31, 2024 - 12:28 am Is that so James? Haha, please explain And to the proposal: I like this too. It is however very complex and will require many days of programming. I wonder if there is a simpler way to stimulate an increase in the production of wind turbines, or other products. a way to stimulate the creation of many corporations with financial support from the council, and in the process, keep the market working and not make the existing producers of the product obsolete. |
James Folsom | Saturday, August 31, 2024 - 02:46 am I'm glad to hear this Andy, always enjoy being wrong on these things. I've been trying to move up the war levels, each time I gut the existing corps in the C3 and replace them with corps that make high demand profitable products before I cancel it back to the wild. One thing I noticed is that when cancelled the population goes down to 13M and a bunch of corps I built get closed. If you could fix that, and more people got involved in doing this; it could make a huge impact. |
