You spend a time deciding when to buy and when to sell shares and then you forget to adjust the f... portfolio target and the system will undo everything you have done - with losses!

Please create an option to disable this function...

Hello aglfern

Click the "Automation" button on your country page.
You should be taken to a page called "Country Automation".
On this page there are a series of check boxes that can be checked or unchecked. A tick means the Automation in that area is Active, an unchecked box, means that Automation is disabled.
There is a box called "Buy and Sell shares for your investment fund automatically" Un-tick that box.
Remember to press the "Save Automation Features" button, at the bottom of the list, before leaving the page, so that your changes take effect.

You will now have full manual control of your Investment Fund, the Automation should no longer buy or sell Shares in your national Investment Fund.

Hi Tom, thanks for the advice.

My fault: I forgot to mention that it happens when playing as a CEO.

Unfortunatelly the option you mention is not available for CEOs...

Thanks,

Tom

Aglfern,

Sorry I misread your question as about the investment fund, rather than the Portfolio.

This is the solution as far as I know:
1). Click on the "Shares" tab on the left hand side of the screen.
2). The First section on the Shares page is called "Your Share Portfolio". In that section there are a series of links, click the one called "portfolio targets".
3). This should take you to a page that enables you to adjust the portfolio targets. As long as your "Target" matches your "Current" ownership. No automatic trades should be issued.
4). After entering your desired targets, remember to press "confirm" so the game puts your changes into effect.
PS. You may have to adjust the targets after buying/selling shares, as I've found they sometimes don't auto update when you issue manual share buy/sell orders.

Let me know if this solves the problem you've been having.
