Theinventor1012 | Monday, May 22, 2017 - 12:31 am I'm not sure if it's just me but personally it seems the GM's don't care much about simcountry and especially the future of it. There has been no response from any of the GM's on important issues such as improving the War Game and other issues players strongly dislike such as the annoying automation. Additionally customer support has been the worst I've ever seen on any game. I just think the GM's should listen to the players and the problems in the game. It shouldn't be to much to ask for at least some consideration from the GM's and for them to at least respond to some of the numerous request to improve/fix the war game. |
Yankee | Monday, May 22, 2017 - 02:48 am I don't agree with that statement. 1. The GM has responded multiple times on these issues (search the forums) 2. I have never NOT had them respond to me when I provide them with an email stating exactly what I want and describe a problem. Approximately 99% of the time has resulted in a positive outcome for me. This forum is for US to communicate. They do read it from time to time but it is not the best way to contact the GM. If you have a valid email address (you should or you shouldn't be in this game) and a problem I would suggest you contact them that way. If you think you are going to get a rapid response to issues discussed for the last 10 years by typing them in this forum .. good luck. You are not going to change how the GM wants this game to progress with forum discussions. |
Theinventor1012 | Monday, May 22, 2017 - 03:34 am When you say many issues have been discussed for the last 10 years, that is my exact point. The GM's have failed to fix many of the problems that have been repeatedly reported with numerous requests to fix the problem, and the GM's have done little or nothing on major issues such as fixing the war game. All I'm asking is for something to be done to address these issues urgently and quickly. I have proposed a few simple solutions to fix these problems. 1. Allow all players above or at war level 3 to fight all other players above or at war level 3. 2. Decrease the number of C3's a player can fight before his war level is increased when the player is below war level 3. 3. Countries owned by players inactive for 30 days or more loose secured mode and have their war levels increased to 3. 4. Players receive 50 gold coins when reaching war level 3 and receive a welfare bonus along with doubled max military spending space. |
Yankee | Monday, May 22, 2017 - 09:03 pm Many of the war restrictions were enabled due to the whining of players. Many of those came in, started something they couldn't finish and lost everything. Now they are gone and what they screamed for is still with us. For someone so concerned about WL restrictions, and just who should be allowed to fight, maybe you should get yourself above WL ONE. My personal view has ALWAYS been, ONE secured country anything else don't grab and build if you don't want someone to come along and possibly take it. |
Theinventor1012 | Tuesday, May 23, 2017 - 12:51 am Well I can agree with you that certainly war restrictions hurt the simcountry war game. And when you say I should get above war level 1, I just currently don't consider FB a world that I would go to war on. I know many other players aren't above war level 1 or 2 on some worlds such as Aries isn't on GR when I'm sure he could easily defend his country and I am indeed above war level 3 on GR. To be reasonable I completely agree and would be fine removing war restrictions but I still believe there should be a way to be econ and still have a considerably large empire. I believe your suggestion is indeed good in many aspects and personally I would be fine with end result of implementing it. |
Michael | Sunday, May 28, 2017 - 08:48 pm You can also go on Facebook to the Simcountry page and communicate there. I have always got quick responses from the GM's on Facebook as they are always posting stuff on there. |
SuperSoldierRCP | Monday, May 29, 2017 - 08:12 pm Jonni, Andy, all other GM's reading this prepare to laugh. No one over the years has been more harsh or critical of the GM as me. However, I do give credit where its due and I dont agree with you that the GM donest care. The GM have been very active of late and I do believe they have been working hard to bring the changes we desire in order to see SC grow. Over the years I've learned when to scream, bitch, and moan... and when to leave them alone and support them. As of now, they have brought us many GREAT changes and this is a time where I think its best to leave them alone and to continue to support the great work they are doing. I'm a huge supporter of changing the war levels, however, I believe right now we need to give the GM a bit more time to finish the updates they have added. They seem to be making great strides in fixing the war game corps, assets, and flaws, lets give them chance to throw out a few more updates before we raise our pitchforks and torches. |
Theinventor1012 | Monday, May 29, 2017 - 08:50 pm Well we will see what the GM's do, but I certainly think they haven't been very good at letting the public know what they are doing especially on the forum. It would be better if they where more active in responding to major issues such as the war levels and what future plans they might have. |
Yankee | Monday, May 29, 2017 - 10:09 pm Theinventor1012 you really didn't want any easement of WL's believe me. |
Heisenberg | Monday, May 29, 2017 - 10:16 pm Inorite, there's an awful lot of cuddling going on on GR. WL is beautiful. |
