Wednesday, November 2, 2016 - 09:08 pm Use a pipeline system in country for liquid fuels for resupply during peace time....instead of the current system. Benchmark - half empty, it fills next parsing phase. And again once war is declared... from whatever current level to full. That will save the benchmarks for other things...like ammo and supplies. (this is basically a version of Aries much much earlier post suggesting units be supplied directly from a base.) You wouldn't lose it if the base was destroyed, as it is being piped in from country stock. If you got to steal, steal from the best. (and apologies Aries, I couldn't find the original post.)

Wednesday, November 2, 2016 - 10:29 pm Where supply could use improvement, I have not made a suggestion to change it. I believe it was Madoff who made a suggestion to supply directly from bases.

Thursday, November 3, 2016 - 04:58 am Marshal, if I understand correctly you're suggesting that fuels be supplied directly from the country stock. That game mechanic used to exist. In the original war engine, military units and supply units didn't exist and we always fired our weapons directly from bases or carriers. The automation used supplies and ammo from the country stock. That automated logistics was one reason why PvP was very popular. I've suggested reactivating the ability to fire from bases. That once again would provide automated supplies and ammo to the bases. Players would choose from two tactical options: a) If the player fires from a base, that base gets automated supplies and ammo. But this tactic risks doing less damage because the attack comes from outside the targeted country. In other words, players who want to reduce logistics would get that option by firing from bases. Players who love micro-management still would have the option of firing from the current military units, and still would deal with supply units. Everyone would continue using military units and their supply units for painting.

Friday, November 4, 2016 - 10:15 am That was indeed the post. Thanks Aries and Madoff for clarifying. That automated logistics was one reason why PvP was very popular. Concur.

Thursday, February 2, 2017 - 09:10 am The suggestion to allow attacks from bases crossed our minds too. The reason for us is that it will be very difficult to develop the war game as it is now, for mobile devices. Moving units and attacks by units on a phone screen can be very complex. Attacks from bases as we used to have in the past might work. The suggestion by Madoff as you can read here, might work.

Tuesday, February 7, 2017 - 10:21 am We are looking at the reactivation of some of the functions used in the past in the war game. A mix of the old and new way of waging war might make it easier for beginners and make it easier to use on small devices.

Friday, February 10, 2017 - 01:51 pm We will do some testing of the use of weapons directly from bases next week. a change might take place in the following week. we are thinking of the use of medium range missiles.
