For example, one continent, region, or even group of countries had more coal than others, and that benefited coal corporations? I understand that this would take a lot of adjustment, but I feel that the economic game feels all the same. This would also add a whole new dimension to alliances, where a group of countries with coal manufacturing advantages could align themselves together. You could also use this in war; you and your alliance could cut off a resource(s) you produce from a country you're at war with, which adds a whole new aspect to being able to fight other countries economically. The only major problem I see occurring with this is that it disadvantages older players who have already established themselves, whereas newer players can pick and choose what regions they want to be in. I feel like this could really revamp the game, though. I played several years back, and other than navies, I don't really remember much being different. Thoughts? Spencer |
