ian Cameron | Monday, July 7, 2014 - 05:24 pm You can add your own suggestions here, but I have finally decided to enter the war game again (just to take a province and to RP) and find something missing. ONE thing missing that I think is a must is a button like the one you have when creating a military unit "Buy all missing products". We need another one of these buttons to order all missing products AFTER a war so that our units are re-stocked by the click of one button instead of having to individually order equipment. I probably wont go to war again for who knows how long but when I do, I don't want to have to spend hours order supplies for my troops when I could just click a button that does it automatically. And guess what? the base mechanics are already there in the "Buy all missing products" button, it just needs to be implemented in this new button. |
Jock | Monday, July 7, 2014 - 09:01 pm Seems to easy Ian. I actually enjoy ordering army supplies and making sure everything is well supplied. |
ian Cameron | Monday, July 7, 2014 - 09:31 pm Yes, but i am lazy and like to get things done quickly and dont know enough about the military units and their requirements to go buy every thing they need. This would also add a level of realism as well, I'm sure Obama, Harper or any other political leader doesn't go to all his/hers military bases and see what they need and then individually order what is needed. And this option would only be optional, you don't need to use it. So people like me or people with insanely large armies can just click one button and get it over with while people like you can do it manually if they want to. |
Orbiter | Monday, July 7, 2014 - 11:04 pm we had one once, if automatically stocks units, and created orders to buy, in that order. and i'm being serious when i tell you, not me, but others where canceling the orders after they got their free products the GM caught this, and created some sort of script that would catch sudden increases in military assets, and just delete them, again, i wasn't doing this, but i lost hundreds of fully upgraded stealth bombers, and when i complained, they gave me the "you should come clean," speech, telling me the stock piles that i normally kept where the result of a bug, its good practice as a war player to have tons of trucks, and supplies stashed every where, seriously i didn't do it, i'm still irritated about it. one guy, if you remember Gaz, took over a few countries with good assets, and ended up getting whiped out by the GM. the button didn't work right, and the GMs script wasn't able to see the difference between what was and wasn't a problem the GM eventually removed the button for the problems it caused |
Orbiter | Monday, July 7, 2014 - 11:11 pm not to mention, if you set up your supply units with light tanks, and eat the cost to upgrade them, any ammo that is delivered to your units, will average with the supply units ammo quality, so if you have a LSU with 300 tanks 36000 rounds of ammo, at 450Q, and it delivers 5k rounds of missiles of 330Q to an air wing, the ammo will arive at the air wing at like 435Q, and then your LSU will spend the next 2.5 days re-upgrading to 450, not that that can't work with your idea, just came to mind, this also works with taking stuff in and out of you garrisons, quick way to upgrade garrisons, if you already have the SUs upgraded. you set up your garrisons with what ever, after they get set up, set them to 15%, after they get cleared out, set them back to 100%. so your weapons, and ammo will average with your higher quality SUs, 3 times. with allot of LT, and their high ammo volume, the LT will have a stronger effect raising the quality of ammo it transports, than visa versa. |
Jock | Tuesday, July 8, 2014 - 12:15 am I like it Ian because it can give me an edge over someone who doesn't have great knowledge of how the supply chain works. You see where im coming from? Sure v c3's it would be handy but in a pvp things like this can make the difference. It's 1 of the few remaining things where knowledge of the game can give a player an advantage. Yeah I remember that Josias. Over 100T in ammo wiped out in 1 country alone. Man that hurt. After much complaining I did manage to get 700k air to air back. Still lost millions of defence ammo though. I complained a lot last time out lol. Good to see you btw |
Orbiter | Tuesday, July 8, 2014 - 12:35 am right on, glad to see you kickn around and i see it both ways, making things easier will make it more popular, but then their are layers of knowledge and skill that really shouldn't be dumbed down. old school vets are a dying breed, and many of our tricks will be completely forgotten, some of this is good, and some bad |
Jock | Tuesday, July 8, 2014 - 12:45 am I can never completely stay away from this game. |
ian Cameron | Tuesday, July 8, 2014 - 03:18 am War Level 1 -Check Enable Auto re-supply War level 3 -Check disable auto re-supply temporarily War level 2 -Check Re-enable auto re-supply Obviously it would be more complicated than that, but I don't know how the supply stuff works and I can't learn by reading I only learn by being shown (visually) and repeating the process and eventually modifying it, thus someone typing up how to do it simply wont work, and last time I tried myself I spent like 3 trillion and screwed up resulting in my demilitarization. As for GAZ, I don't think I was here for him/her, or it could have been before i was active in the forums. |
Jock | Tuesday, July 8, 2014 - 03:52 am It's not that hard Ian. There's maybe 5 or 6 products you need to keep stocked up on. It gets trickier when you have an empire to maintain. |
Orbiter | Tuesday, July 8, 2014 - 07:58 am country auto supply purchases go a long way, set your gasoline, aircraft fuel, military supplies, and trucks to what you want, unless you go through a lot, you probably wont have to think about it also, make sure you have plenty of military services, bad things happen if you run out. i'm sure you knew this already, just saying for those that don't. so with your supply units, and auto-purchasing, your country will buy the stuff you need, and resupply, as long at you don't have a negative military supplies, if that happens, your supply units will stop moving not quiet as easy as a single button, but its all pretty automated anyway |
Orbiter | Tuesday, July 8, 2014 - 08:01 am i keep saying trucks, i'll tell you, its really embarrassing when you've got the weapons, and ammo to make a difference in a war, but you can't make units because you ran out of trucks. |
Alterd Carbon | Tuesday, July 8, 2014 - 11:58 am 0rbiter you are so right. Trucks are very important don't forget gas either that makes them go. |
Jonny Alouette | Saturday, July 26, 2014 - 08:15 pm I suggest that the Supply Function be speeded up. In multiple raids I run low on Ammo. I check the Supply Units and they are 'IDLE'. Distance may matter, but in the middle of a war 'IDLE' doesn't cut it. If the needed products are on hand and the Supply Units are available why wait 'til next month? It may be complicated, but would you look into it? |
drys0013 | Sunday, July 27, 2014 - 01:57 pm I think that is simulated loading and unloading time . It is also something to consider JA as a speed bump. in PVP you'd be dead in the water, so you would make sure you have enough units to reload if your objective is that. only way to save my wait times so far is to do that, make extra units to use while giving time for the reload to occur. I do agree they idle way too much in war. of course make sure you have the correct number of trucks and supply ships extra or you won't reload at all. like alterd and orbiter speaks. |
