TEMZ71 | Monday, September 30, 2013 - 06:45 am I am playing this game one day and I notice that my military grows very slowly and I cant directly change it.... when I change the salary of government jobs I only get a high influx of teachers and other workers ... its too complicated why not seperate these values. Not at first, but saying when you reach game level three have changing salaries depend on unions (teachers union, nurse union, medical union etc.) and have the military be in its own category not effected by other government jobs. like they've advanced in the country u know ... I mean thats how its done in real life the union negotiates salaries and all that with their lawyers ... and get the changes this would also be a good way to simulate civil unrest (boycotts and etc.) mainly this would allow you to raise conditions of soldiers and officers (also seperately) and fill voids in the military with regulary unemployed people in your country and once they were in the military and the military reaches a certain number in a month no more could be added (except with some kind of booster) also there should be some sort of way for your countries allies (not just federations) to attack your enemies in a war regardless who started it and (c3 president free countries should not be exempt) Thank you for your time and I hope Ive made an impact on the way you see this game. |

XON Xyooj | Tuesday, October 1, 2013 - 12:20 am you wanna be a warlord, your military will drain the bottom workers of your country. you country will crash when its foundation is gone. there are limits to everything in this game. you can only buy certain amount of military wares or any product, regardless of how much money you have. on earth, i'm sure that if the quantity of military wares are available and usa want to spend 100T usd, no one gonna say a thing |
TEMZ71 | Tuesday, October 1, 2013 - 03:34 am @Lenpeat I have no idea what your saying lol..... @ Xon no not saying use all your bottom workers but if you have an excess of these workers you should be able to use them as you see fit ... of course with some sort of restrictions but lets say that your given a draft option and no matter how many workers you have if you need them you can draft them and use as many of them as you need as long as they are unemployed and able to fight .... would you agree that its better than americas present settings when a draft takes a age set of age groups no matter what ... Im just saying I would like more options on the matter of my military and I would like it to be seperate so I could gain what I need or atleast have optimism about but when I make the appropriate changes and I see my teachers, etc grow by 20000 but my soldiers grow by 200 I get fustrated... Thank you for your feedback |
XON Xyooj | Tuesday, October 1, 2013 - 03:53 am @temz71, i don't think there is an option as you suggested in sc decades ago america has its selective service, and once you turn 18 you have to register else you ain't getting much help from the gov't, such as financial aids for tertiary education. it's been that the active soldiers go first, then reserved soldiers, and so on down the line to normal capable citizens who fit the military profile criteria. in my limited experience with sc, soldiers come from the bottom, officers come from the middle. there are not much distinction that you as a sc president has the choice of what corps or gov't facilities you want to pull workers to become soldiers. it just you want an army, then game parameters just start giving you what you want. and look carefully at your corps when you start to have a large army, you will notice hiring and production changes. military forces is a big expense to your country, the game does not allow you to get revenues from the military other than earnings thru raidings. great idea you got there, but sc isn't that way though. |
TEMZ71 | Tuesday, October 1, 2013 - 04:35 am ok I understand your point .........but how bout if a rubric/set of requirements were instituted to prevent a decline say if you have $1t(to dedicate to military expenses =2t or more in cash) and the appropriate required reserves(were still available after you take the people you need which could be no more than 50000- no less than 10000)do you see it working then. I mean truthfully its just using your population. but honestly my idea has a lot of kinks but with a little more thought I can see it working. can you ... Im very open to suggestions and the problems you see I really want to take this to vote. |
XON Xyooj | Tuesday, October 1, 2013 - 10:19 am those options you proposed are not available in sc, may be some day you can't even budge in sc, gm does that for you. tells you your spending limits for whatever you want to purchase, tells you how each of your military units/forces are specifically to be, not one soldier less or more follow the rules else you'll be very frustrated, like moi |
