You know, I kinda wonder why the government is offering free water, train rides, and not doing much on road tolls.
Please note that I list 'needed' in my suggested contribution. That's because if you have an index of 120, then 20% of the train tracks do not contribute to their maintenance. This is to prevent profit. My goal is to not have transportation profit, but instead collect contributions like education or healthcare.
>ROADS: I can understand not getting anything from this, but I should probably get about 5-15% in tolls for maintenance costs (5-15% of NEEDED road maintenance)
>TRAINS: Train rides cost money and I believe people need to pay for that. So I believe this so I believe trains should contribute more. (50-75% of NEEDED train maintenance)
>WATER: People shouldn't get free water. For the love of Andy! Pay your water bill! (100-125% of NEEDED water maintenance)
Honestly, I can make a profit without this and in fact, have a good financial index. Remember a long time ago, there was an update that reduced the cost of healthcare and education to a country? Well, I believe that having a contribution factor to transportation would be nice.

Sure, I will support this. With raiding around, no one is getting comparably rich off monthly country income. Just about anything that can improve country balance sheets would have my support. |

I would like to add, that if salaries are higher, means more taxes are paid and higher education and health contributions, then so should transportation. The higher the salaries. The higher the tolls! |

Road tolls don't pay for much and are easily avoided IRL, so I dun think roads, despite their costs, should result in much of a contribution.
However, citizens par for train rides and at 100 index, they just don't need more. The rest of the trains are used by corps, which is why welfare increases, and so does their productivity, and they pay for it with the 'fixed' property cost.
However, water bills should be the kicker. People have to pay for the water, honestly, I would like a small profit to go along with it, but I doubt many people will be happy with it. |
