Diminic Cameron | Wednesday, July 24, 2013 - 02:23 am The Idea was posted in the "Earthquakes" thread by Issac so as I my self find it as a good idea decided to post it but add my own ideas. Even though it would pose a new problem to a lot of players it would be cool if there were more disasters like tornado's, hurricanes, floods, tsunami's, landslides, volcanic eruptions, floods, cyclones, Limnic eruptions, Blizzards, Tropical Cyclones, Extratropical Cyclones, Droughts and maybe even the hypothetical HyperCane. |
Merco Guerra | Wednesday, July 24, 2013 - 04:03 am Time to move foward, earthquakes has been done to death,so adding 1 or 2 new, natural disasters would help the emergency concept evolve a bit. so perhaps a tsunami,or volcanic activity, would be another step towards evolving the game. |
Laguna | Wednesday, July 24, 2013 - 09:19 pm +1 Just to spice things up. |
Arthur Mitchel | Thursday, July 25, 2013 - 02:55 am and if ya'll don't know what a Hypercane is search it up, thats stuff's scary sounding. Damn Hurricane that's almost the size of America. |
Nico | Thursday, July 25, 2013 - 04:29 am Wanna make a custom made earthquake?!? TELL IAN TO START JUMPING! Hahahaha J/K :P |
Aries | Thursday, July 25, 2013 - 04:46 am This might be interesting, as long as this activity is not added in addition to the current frequency of earthquakes. Different disasters might be fun as long as it does not mean more disasters. |
Arthur Mitchel | Thursday, July 25, 2013 - 12:55 pm yes, lower the frequencies of disasters, add more disasters, and find a way to set where disasters hit on the map. cause a Tsunami can't hit the middle of a Continent, a Tropical Cyclone can't hit in the middle of the desert, etc, etc. |
thewhy | Friday, July 26, 2013 - 12:37 am can there be herpes? or is that not politically correct |
Nico | Friday, July 26, 2013 - 01:12 am Yes. Maybe like pandemics too? |
Arthur Mitchel | Friday, July 26, 2013 - 03:06 am ........ Herpes..... really..... |
Laguna | Friday, July 26, 2013 - 09:46 pm I approve of herpes.
Quote:Disaster has struck your nation. Due to poor working conditions, your sex slaves have caught and infected {number} citizens of your nation with herpes.

Ian Cameron | Friday, July 26, 2013 - 11:49 pm "Disaster has struck your nation. Due to great wealth and many fast food restaurants (I'm not talking about America) {number} citizens of your nation have been diagnosed with DIABETES!!!" |
Nico | Saturday, July 27, 2013 - 05:10 am Well America is now the 2nd fattest country...so can't be us...we aren't rich either hahaha....hmm Canada..?.. |
Arthur Mitchel | Saturday, July 27, 2013 - 03:38 pm _> Idk what ur talking about......... >_> <_< |
Ingrid Klauswitz | Tuesday, July 30, 2013 - 09:23 am "Disaster has struck (Insert World)" the Black Death is spreading across the globe. Due to your lack of adequate medical facilities, your country has fallen to its grip and xxx of your population have died outright, while xxx are currently infected and have a 25% chance of pulling through this crisis. If medical rating 1-99% (80%-85% pop loss) If medical rating 101%-199% (60-70% pop loss) If medical rating 200%-299% (40-50% pop loss) If medical rating 300%+ (20%-30% pop loss) (75% Death 25% Infection of the pop loss) (Infected 75% Death 25% Return to Normal) **Affects player run countries only** Now this would be a disaster of epic proportions and used on a rare basis would create lots of new issues for all players on a world. |
TheTenthClassofBLU | Tuesday, July 30, 2013 - 09:51 am The last post by Ingrid is far too intense. Pandemics with spread and quarantine. If you have 100 inoculation units set up in your country, losses can be negligible, plus field hospitals' reduction. Auto distribution automation with self-priority. Plus you can set the priority of common market and federation members. Population is incredibly difficult to accumulate, and would draw off even the most loyal of players if power was limited by this, even per 100 years. If there were to be as intense as THAT, they should make an Armageddon planet, where you need tons of disaster relief resources, and bonus coins for actually thriving there. Teh Kilrain | Tuesday, July 30, 2013 - 03:48 pm Disaster has struck (Insert Country Name). Your country has been invaded by LAWYERS. The cost of food has gone up due to frivolous lawsuits regarding drive through coffee being too hot. 21,000 citizens have been murdered by criminals who should have been incarcerated but were released on technicalities. The cost of your healthcare has risen 68% because of malpractice suits, causing 12 CEO run corporations to evacuate your country from being unable to pay the added premiums. 8 national corporations have closed their doors from inability to pay workplace injury and sexual harassment lawsuits. 132,000 low and mid level workers aged 25-35 have retired permanently, the beneficiaries of all this newfound 'law'. |

Volvo | Sunday, October 27, 2013 - 05:35 am Nice avatar Indrid. |
Andy | Saturday, November 16, 2013 - 12:25 pm We have all this developed and ready for release but the earth quakes seemed too much for many so we are not sure if more "unexpected" events are a good idea. people hate changes and surprises. |
ian Cameron | Saturday, November 16, 2013 - 12:59 pm reduce the chances of earthquakes and the chances of them being high on the Richter scale, implement the new events but give them the same chances of happening as an earthquake. All events should have an equal percentage of chance to happen. If there are four events than they each get a 25% chance of happening equaling 100%. Chance of a event happening based on amount of events: 1:100% 2:50% 3:33% 4:25% 5:20% 6:16% 7:14% 8:12% 9:11% 10:10% I also suggest giving us a list of the events as you usually give us a list of new features. (and thank Issac for the idea and me bringing it up lolol jk) |
