Laguna | Saturday, July 20, 2013 - 03:31 pm There's currently a block on all links on the forum that direct you to another website. The reasons were once stated elsewhere, but is still annoying as it kills some of the forum's raison d'etre. In order to return some of usefullness of links, while keeping the block in place, I suggest the introduction of a whitelist for some certainly safe websites such as Youtube and Wikipedia. A whitelist would allow some links to function properly even though a general block is in force. If you want to know more about whitelist, click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitelist... Oh, right. |
Crafty | Saturday, July 20, 2013 - 10:47 pm So what was the reason for the block? the possibility of obscene material being linked? Surely a disclaimer would cover W3C against potential problems. This game is not even PEGI rated so it cant really be argued that under age players might be exposed. The forums and chat have no language or content censor...not even a moderator. So I think it's just another daft un-thought out idea, or they can't figured out how to, or be bothered to, change it. |
