T Mac | Thursday, May 2, 2013 - 08:47 pm Having a company that builds destroyers and aircraft carries is not even close to reality. Most ships in the US are built by shipyards that can get the contracts. I suggest changing the model whereby all military ships are made in military shipyards therefore providing them with the possibility of making money. |
Andy | Thursday, May 2, 2013 - 10:53 pm Obviously, all the corporations that build ships in Simcountry, are shipyards and if there are enough buyers, they can be among the best earners. The navy in Simcountry will be upgraded and we expect the role of the navy to develop and with it, a better market for all the types of ships. |
T Mac | Friday, May 3, 2013 - 03:47 am Thanks Andy for the response. I still think you could put all military ships into one ship building company and give the numbers over to "Military Shipyard" and Civilian shipyard as the company types. All types of destroyer, carrier or whatever is not "individual" companies, but rather products that are ordered from a "shipyard company" giving these companies more backlog of orders to fill and therefore increasing their profitability if not over produced. |
Andy | Thursday, May 9, 2013 - 11:37 am T-Mac The corporations in Simcountry make one product. to date, we did nt see a reason to change the entire model, we just add corporation types for new products. changing that model, will make it all more complex while we are trying to make it easier. also, there are so many things we could improved or add that can improve Simcountry. |
Scarlet | Friday, May 10, 2013 - 06:36 am T Mac, you can RP the process of closing one corporation, building/upgrading a new one as "retooling". I mean an actual retooling process would probably be difficult to add in... and some of us would like them to spend their time on bug fixing and balancing/finishing existing features. Like navy units (or any means of navy getting quality applied)... unless I missed the memo and this occurred? *fingers crossed* |
