Ideally, there'd be secondary sorting (i.e. first sort by tax so 0% is at top, then sort by welfare so countries w/ lowest tax and highest welfare appear at top). The search itself doesn't work very well. If you keep clicking "search again" new countries will pop up that should have appeared the first time. I would also like it if the front page for countries displayed "last login date" next to "start date," so that I know if the player is active or if I'm risking the country reverting to a c3. For similar reasons, it would be useful to have tables for tax/welfare/unemployment to see if the country is improving (or soon to be abandoned) and if the president likes to change their tax rate. Finally, how about an optional bidding process as an alternative to the CEO searching for countries? The CEO chooses the corporation, the sets the maximum tax rate and minimum welfare/expected hiring, and maybe a length of time for bidding. Then a president can view all corporations open for bids, and maybe understand more clearly the incentives for improving welfare and lowering taxes. From the president's perspective, a bidding system would be more efficient than randomly messaging CEO's and posting in forums. And from the CEO's perspective, it could save time on running searches for the most profitable countries. To make it more realistic, presidents could even offer competitive incentives such as temporary tax relief or modest cash payments (in consideration of future profits & the initial unprofitable stage when improving efficiency/quality), which is basically how many countries/states/cities subsidize corporations when engaged in "job creation." |
