Thursday, August 23, 2012 - 01:43 am I think this one is very similiar to how a Monarchy would run, I don't think it is neccessary either

Thursday, August 23, 2012 - 06:18 pm Yeah probularly right since monarchies generally have a lot of influence with the church. Especially when our queen in the UK is the head of the CofE (Church of England). So I think we can rule this one out like you suggested.

Friday, October 26, 2012 - 01:54 pm Theocracy is definately not the same as monarchy. In a monarchy power is inherited by a person. In a theocracy it is inherited by an institution. Big difference because it means the land isn't ruled by a single person. Exampla of theocracy is Iran. There's no monarch there. With that example, figure out the disadvantages...

Saturday, October 27, 2012 - 12:52 am i think that the government types are there for roleplaying which is a significant part of this game and we should keep as many available as possible even if it is hard to determine possible pros and cons
| |
Saturday, October 27, 2012 - 09:50 pm I have yet to see anyone roleplay.

Monday, October 29, 2012 - 09:06 pm go to wiki.com and search simcountry its a pretty big wiki full of roleplayers

Saturday, November 3, 2012 - 01:48 am I think that there should be politics going on within our own nations based on the government you have. No matter what government you choose it means nothing because you can have a democracy, it doesn't mean anything. The only thing the people have say in right now is they complain about shortages. There should be some software for people to rise up if they don't like their government. It would make it more fun when running your empire.
| |
Saturday, November 3, 2012 - 01:51 am an example is that if you have a democracy in your nation, you go to war just by clicking declare war. That is not democracy. If you have a democracy, there should be news that comes up saying this many people support the war, and this many people do not. It should be some sort of software to automate the politics of a particular government we choose.

Sunday, November 4, 2012 - 01:05 am why would people support or not support a war....a lot of other programs must be implemented before big leaps you are suggesting like...making war more fun and realistic..and giving war a function

Sunday, November 4, 2012 - 01:21 am /me laughs. How many democracies vote on whether their country goes to war or not?

Friday, November 9, 2012 - 04:07 pm /me sighs... 98% of the countries that people call democracies are, in fact, constitutional republics. Here is an example of democracy: 49 women and 51 men are at a party; a vote is taken to see if the men should ravish the women. It passes, 51 to 49. Majority rules, so the women are ravished. Democracy in action.

Saturday, November 10, 2012 - 11:31 pm Agree with Mr Clean. Most of the countries that call themselves democracies have so much indirect democracy that it resembles a joke. Especially the fact that many of the socalled democracies only effectively have to parties to vote on is ridiculous. Oh, and you all ofc remember the 'German Democratic Republic' aka the socalist dictatorship of East Germany?
