Crafty | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 01:40 pm We all know you need an enterprise with 100 corps to reach game level 5. I propose, due to the increase in game levels that happened a while back and the greater difficulty of managing an Enterprise successfully that the requirements for game levels 5 and 6, maybe even 7 be changed so that we dont need to have an enterprise. I've come across a new player that has hit this brick wall, of course he would like to get game level 5 and seems quite deserving of it, only thing is the ent rule. I think giving the newer player the chance to earn the extra coins and to keep them interested with a goal to reach would be game positive, also the extra bit of experience before they plunge into what can be the black hole of an enterprise. What do you say Andy, relax this restriction a bit now in light of changes to the game. |
Yankee | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 03:22 pm It use to be you needed an enterprise for a successful empire. Now I see little reason to own one. |
Madoff | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 04:04 pm I propose that levels be completely separate for countries and enterprises. In the real world, the president of a country doesn't own a business enterprise that he runs to benefit his country. Nor do CEOs simultaneously serve as president of a country. Levels distort the CEO game. Levels measure merely how many corps there are in a CEO, not the profitability of that CEO. Levels now encourage players to randomly add large numbers of CEO corps at any price, and then neglect them. |
Crafty | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 05:37 pm Currently you NEED to have at least one to run up the levels Yankee. Not a little reason. Thats the point I'm making. Madoff has a good view, except in RL enterprises/big business and Govts do seem to operate hand in hand. |
Yankee | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 07:21 pm And why worry about the levels? Esp the war level, level 3 seems like it was the best for making money. Rape C-3's and use the cash to buy GC's. Higher war levels takes too much to replace the ammo fired although you make money could have taken 4 C3's for the same ammo and got twice the money as WL 6. |
Crafty | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 10:06 pm Lots of reasons for game levels. War levels I agree. State corps you can build, score, Welfare, GC awards, the challenge, because they are there. |
Yankee | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 03:15 am Jumped up to level 6 .. saw nothing there other than FMU's worth building If I'd stayed at WL 3 would be making money hand over fist .. as it is barely staying above water too bad you can't roll WL back : ) |
SuperSoldierRCP | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 10:57 am Not to mention in the econ levels you need trillions. For example game level 7 you need like 5nations, and 100T... seems really high since the income as been massively reduced |
Crafty | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 12:13 pm True Yankee... but try going down to game level one because of debt due to lots of military like we used to have. Not much to build state wise then, lol, except of course soybeans... I still reckon its a bit harsh on newbs to want them to have an Ent to get game level 4. Game levels should be challenging, sure, but... Just my thinking on it. |
Crafty | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 03:27 pm I've just realised that its level 5 that needs an enterprise. Sorry for that misinformation and my confusion. But this doesnt change my view that 2 more level could be allowed before ent required. |
