it would be nice to color code the C3 (countries without presidents) on the map so it be easier to identify on the big map (world map), instead having to go to the tiny maps and click over which countries are C3?

thanks

I suppose you haven't checked the region maps. :/

yes, i've checked. the region only shows a small area and you can't drag the map with the mouse either. you see countries on this region map marked as not having presidents, but when you move your mouse over them, indicates there are presidents, and vise versa.

i mean you should be about to look at the continent or even that world and clearly shows where most presidents are and most c3 are.

the maps need to be larger, move the map legend on the right to everything on the left would help that. the maps should be capable of zoom-in/zoom-out with the mouse. and when you put a mouse over a target, it should pop up info on that target for you automatically.

this game can get better, but i do wonder if the gm ever take notes of suggestions or issues raise by the users.

scarlet, since you seem to be an expert on this game, how do you automatically set the parameters such that all over production goods be sold on the market and just keep enough for your country's population to use, or whatever percentage you want as reserve or sold on the market. thank you in advance :)

and it would be very nice if the map could be on a globe, like google earth, so you can zoom to wherever you want.

then make the battles/wars, visual like in the civilization game (at least) so you know what you're attacking or waring with you enemies.

darn, too much wishful thinking :)

Well the region maps do have a color coding letting you see C3 small empire or large empire by color which helps a bit, have you noticed that?

But yes, your vision would be great. A major undertaking for the programmers I imagine, one day maybe...

crafty the region maps with codes for small and large empires do help, but they are so small still. wish they could show a larger area, and you can just drag along with your mouse, with zooming capability.

i don't see any ad, so how does the gm make money to cover the game development?

thinking about it, i wonder if there are any kind of scale in this game.

would be nice to have a scale, so you can see things in perspectives. such as having the base scale on the average earth human being of 6 foot tall (1.80 m), then everything else measures from this base. this game should also take space (width, length, height) dimensions and time into consideration too so that everything is not so crowded. for example, the reality is that it could be difficult to station 1000 fighter planes in a base, because each plane takes a certain amount of space.

with a scale, say 1:1, you could zoom-in, zoom-out to see all your planes parking in a row in your airport. you could see how much vehicles are on your roads. you could see how big your ammo factory is, etc...

i have look at other players' countries, i find it difficult to imagine a country with less than 10 big cities with a population of over 50 million in the country. and the documentation did mention that each simcountry is about the size of an american state. and at the moment, i am 100% sure that there are no state in america with population over even 40 million people.

i'm questioning whether there is any logic in the game?

having played this game for several days now, i surely do not yet have the indepth knowledge of the game yet, but i'm seeing a great deal of fundamental issues, as mentioned.

please be assure this is not a hate for the game, but rather suggestions to make the game better. otherwise i may be lacking imaginations

Just keep in mind a game to this scale and this budget it is pretty complex. There are millions of calculations that happen several times a day. Simcountry in it's perfect form would be incredibly awesome. But it just isn't possible. As is this game is still quite impressive and if you want it develop further to meet your expectations you should probably become a premium member contribute so they can more easily do the fun stuff you would want to see happen. So there is logic in this game, just not perfect logic but in most aspects its pretty realistic. Google mapping other countries is less realistic, thats what radar planes are for.

drew,
i do intend to own more countries in all the worlds. but at the moment just trying to figure out whether it's worth to spend some USD investment in this game.

i too believe there is great potential for this game, once things make sense. perhaps one day the game will be 3D with time (4 dimensions). at the moment, owning many countries would seem to require a lot of works/times, which i don't have for.

does anyone know how much money will take to develop this game to be better? one million USD, ten million USD, one hundred million USD, etc?

why not have dedicated players take stake in the game, i.e. ownership by shares?

The large maps as you see them now are not very old. we have improved the maps just recently.

Many functions are not available yet on the big maps and will be added.

we are currently moving the most important map dependent functions to the big maps, namely the war functions.

other functions will follow.

Drew: thanks for explaining.
