As i can not post a poll (i'm not a paying member), it would be appreciated it someone could do that for me:

My suggestion: Have set targets for indexes. Such as you can set targets for your portfolio, and your country will buy and sell and take measures to meet that target, perhaps the same could be done with healthcare, education, transportation etc.

I was an education index of 150. ok!
country buys or demolishes schools (of each type) until that index is reached. then, it will try its best to maintain it as the population fluctuates.

what do you guys think?

It's a good idea.

The automation settings for education, transport and health do a very similar thing.

Country Automation Features -> Transportation sector setup:

Quote:

This feature will gradually build your transportation system in a balanced way and bring it to an index level of 120.

But obviously you are unable to modify "120" but is helpful if you lack the time to manage yourself. (Not to mention, its unavailable after a certain game level)

While initially it does sound a good idea, I have reservations.

Like I often say, people want too much automation, they want it all done for them. If we were to continue down this route, there will be less and less game play and everyone becomes closer to a fixed median. The things I like about the game are the management things, even as stupid as buying/destroying infrastructure. With no war and no management left, what would there be left to do? What would seperate one player from another?

Secondly, beware what you ask for. Another automatic system is begging for disaster. You'll log in one day to no hospitals! guaranteed.
